I have found our best trade scenario for what we need now (Perimeter Defense)

No, we need a more mature 4. Jones goes to the bench and makes them stronger around the rim, we get a vet who is more equipped to bang with opposing bigs in playoffs intensity games. Then as that 4 gets older, Jones becomes the starter and that player moves to the bench. The play of Jones to me just means we don't need a superstar at the 4.

There is no reason why our player can't just get better at defending the perimeter.

The trade does not make sense.

Chicago doesn't want Asik. He won't take em anywhere. What he brings they already get from Noah and Gibson. If they thought they had the minutes for him with those two and Boozer still on the roster then they would have kept him. Any salary Chicago wants to take on would be to improve their guard and wing positions. Not to further improve their defense in the paint.
Zero percent chance asik ends up back in Chicago.
