BTW, sorry if that offended anyone. I just heard it on South Park and it cracked me up.

Kobe's right, all the great guards were tall. I don't hate him because he's arrogant; I hate him because he's way too effing tall.

Kobe's nothing but a fraud. I'd school him one-on-one on the blacktop.

Kobe has to be the cockiest player in the league yet nobody ever criticizes him while Steve Francis who is not as cocky as many people make him out to be is criticized all the time for being flamboyant and cocky. The only reason kobe gets away with it is because he doesnt dance or talk smack during the game like Francis. I think it's unfair Franchise is labeled as cocky and selfish as opposed to Kobe

Well I hate Kobe's arrogence..can't stand the fool, shoots 35+ shots...

hehe but I believe Kobe's answer was about how the big guards get their shot off...he was basically saying that MJ used some of the same moves as the big guards before him, so there is no reason to compare him and MJ's moves(jumpers, whatever). Yes he was cocky as usual but that part of the question he wasn't, IMO [IMG]

Did anyone happen to catch his interview after the game last night. He was talking about how good Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Michael Jordan were because they were tall guards and how he's just continuing the history.

Jesus Tap Dancing Christ, it must be hard to be that modest.

Geez, the guys a good player. I'm not a fan of his or anything, but I do like his play. I remember Jordan in his peak had a lot of "haters" too. I mean, Kobe's a good guy, doesn't do crack, doesn't beat women, doesn't rob banks (ala Iverson),... he's not stupid either. I think there are other guys who are better to hate (Mailman, Pippi, etc.).

I like Kobe. His game has gotten so much better over the years. He's putting it all together and I respect him. I don't believe the torch was handed to jordan. I believe he took it. Kobe is trying to take it just the same, but I think Francis will beat him to it.

I the Major different is attitude
Jordan came across as doing anything
    for the team . . .
Kobe comes across as I want be considered
great like jordan . . and if the team comes
along for the ride. . it is a'ight

I just don't like his cocky arrogant
mentality . . It started when he forced
    charlotte to trade him

[BTW I know a million folx will say what about
Francis . . . But Francis told them
    before hand. unless I'm mistaken
and honestly. . . .I ain't too hype about that
part of Francis's past . .. he has since
done things that take my attention from that
while Kobe the same ole arrogant overhyped punk]

Those guys were the best players in the league, Bryant's not even the best player on his own team. It's not even close, either. Kim, what did you mean by the bank robbing reference?

10 reasons why Kobe makes me sick:
    1.He play's for L.A.
    2.He plays for Phil
    3.He thinks he's Jordan
    4.He thinks he can Rap
5.He already thinks he's the best player in the league and on his team
    6.He's arrogant
7.The NBA thinks he can do NO wrong
8.He sucks and I don't care who disagree's with me!
9.Probably thinks he should be part of the top 50 greatest in the NBA
10.He's a ball hogger- for Kobe it's all about himself- he looks at the camera and say's hey everybody look at me don't I look good? The answer is just not NO but Hell NO!!!!!

I think I've said enough the rest I really can't say, but he's definetly not the player he thinks he is and he'll never be Jordan!! Even though he tries to walk like him and play like him, Damn the kid even smacks his gum like him but great he'll never be!!!!!

I agree with most...except for numbers 6 and 8. Number 6 is supposed to be arrogant, not arrongant, so I have to disagree on a technicality. [IMG]

Number 8...hmmm....I actually think Bryant is one of the most talented and skilled players in the league right now. No, I cannot stand him, or LA, or his coach, or his center, but Kobe can flat out play. There isn't anyone that can stop him, and he has really come into his own (probably too quickly). He seems to be a smart kid too.

I never would have thought Kobe would have as much success as he has had in his short NBA career thus far. Now while I don't particularly like Kobe you have to respect his ability to take over a game and hit clutch shots with ease. He has shown me a lot since the beginning of last year when the thought of he and Shaq co-existing was non-existent. And as much as I hate to say it and as much as you probably hate to hear it; Kobe will come as close to Jordan as any player in this league at this moment in time. Vince Carter shows flashes of Jordanesque basketball, but Bryant has the overall game that compares best with Mr. Air Jordan.

How quickly would you all like Kobe if he became a Rocket? [IMG]

All in all, I like the guy. The only thing I don't like is the press he gets. It gets a little tiring.

Bottom line: If Kobe was to play one-on-one with anybody on Houston, my money's on Kobe.
    Unless he's playing Bullard.
