well i recently bought myself a new pair of nike sneaker/kickz (about 170 euros ). anyway, last week when i went home, rain set in, and my shoes were completley wet...

now my shoes are smelling so bad, that i can hardly ever wear em.... anyone has a clue, how i can get rid of the "rain-stench"?

Pull out the laces. tie them all together.
    Pull out the insoles.
Open them up as wide as possible.
Throw all of it in the washer.
Wash them in warm to hot water in the washing machine with tide and clorox bleach for COLORS.

If you have a wife, throw some towels in too so she doesn't freak out.

To dry them place them under the front of the fridge where the warm air blows out.

Do not put them in the dryer unless you like loud bangy noises for about an hour.

All good ideas Mulder, except for the part of mixing shoes with towels. Something about the fact that shoes go on the floor and towels go on your face and mixing them together, dont sit well with me for some reason.

Well, consider what people usually mix in washers. I guess nobody washes towels with underwear either? :D

    Sh!tloads of Febreeze helps too.

I used so freaking much Febreeze on my lacrosse gear when I played, it was insane. All that sweat and dirt and on top of that, sometimes rain.... MAN that stunk like nobody's business. I'd throw the shoes and the pads and the uniform in the wash, but it still smelled like butt when it came out, so I practically soaked them in Febreeze and air dried them each day for a week. Right after that was the only time I actually liked the goalie gear.
