We are trying to win games and the sooner we get him back the better. We aren't tanking, no need to take extra time if he is healthy and ready to go.
Spurs just shut down Kawhi "indefinitely." imso, There is no longer a valid reason to NOT rest him longer. We won't lose 2nd seed now. Minny might catch us if Harden rests longer, but they won't sustain it. We will catch them back, before the playoffs.
We have Spurs fans feeling the Spurs "rushed Leonard back too soon." That is not the case, just things changed, didnt respond the way they wanted. I wanted to mention this, as if Harden comes back, plays fine for a while but then gets nicked up....the nicked up does NOT automatically mean "he came back too soon."
so what's more important? win games or make sure he is 100% healthy, injury free & ready to go? I would thinkt #2
I think a big reason to bring him back would be to reduce the workload on Paul. He's been playing big minutes and having to both score and create for others after coming off an injury himself. And we're barely winning with Paul playing like this. Harden is supposed to be the workhorse, Paul is the older veteran that needs more rest. This is all assuming Harden is completely healthy, of course.
He has to get through the practice without any setbacks before they can say definitively for tomorrow. 1 step at a time. He’s made it up all the previous steps so no need to get ahead of himself when it’s this close.
Did I not say no point in resting him longer if he was healthy and ready to go? Exact words... what is your point
Harden should just sit out the next 2 games, it's not worth the risk. Kawhi looks like he might be out until the playoffs so we're probably going to be facing the TWolves in the semis. I think it's better for us for Spurs to face OKC in rd1 then Warriors have to face the winner out of those two teams.
Feigan just twitted all but certian. considering without harden we can only compete with the average teams of the league yeah we need him.
