Haha! That would be a hilariously cynical public response (I wouldn't even be mad/care if he did fake it; he's earned it)
I know everyone is freaking out about our struggles lately, but Harden has needed rest games for awhile now. He shouldn't even need to fake an injury, he just needs to rest. Teams have no problem just resting Curry, Lebron, and Kawhi for whole games despite how badly needed they are on the court.
The complete recovery time for this injury with PRP injections was 10 days. PRP + PED recovery would be 2/3s of that time or less; perhaps down to 4 days. Important thing in the return would be muscle guarding or muscular imbalance causing reinjury or separate injury (basically what happened to Lillard).
We're talking about a partial tear of the muscle. Tha't'ain't nothin'. I would hope we just go to treading water until he's truly healthy. (Now, if Ryan Anderson has more "oh my God! I hit one!" moments, maybe we can pull out some of these closer games. (*cough* While boosting his trade value. *cough* j/k, kind of)
It he tore muscle, I donĀ“t see how he comes back earlier without being something really really stupid. Too much money involved to see it happening.
I have had friends with the same opinion. They felt he pulled up because he blew the layup and was embarrassed to lose that game (which we ended up winning) I said NAH . . he gonna be out a while The response was : Takes Time to heal ones pride . . . . SO I dunno Rocket River
nah, don't come up beard, just take the rest, no need to risk anything when the season is not even half way......
Sure it can. It all depends on the severity of the tear and his ability to heal. It is on the short end of the time period but not absurd.
An aside point. Did you see the MDA smile? Fans love to b**** about James Harden. I have heard everything on these boards from him being "too ghetto" (yes I am serious), to him being fat, lazy, parties too much ...... even that he doesn't care enough. At this point I don't see how anyone can question Harden's love of the game, his toughness or work ethic.
I've pulled hammis before when I was a sprinter. Even the guys that took a healthy dose of HGH to come back, still took nearly 3 weeks. That's best case scenario. SIL
The doctor said it was Grade 2. Maybe this Kelley Iko guy just likes to embellish. "I heard from Hardens posse" lulz If Harden doesn't return next week, this will be the third time he tweeted earlier return than everyone else ... for Paul, Moute and now Harden. lulz ... "next week". sounds like his Luc "news" last week, which Rockets have said won't happen.
