I thought Clowney was going to be an OLB? So when everyone says he's going to be a monster across from JJ, does that mean we'll primarily be using him as a defensve end?

 

The pass rushing OLB in a 3-4 is almost identical in responsibilities to a DE in a 4-3.

 

It is physically impossible for Clowney to be better than Watt. It just can't happen. He could become the 2nd best defensive player in the league if he fulfills his potential, though.

 

Can you tell the future? Seriously though, hard work definitely pays off, but theres a lot to be said for pure talent. If he works half as hard as JJ.. I wouldnt say it was 'impossible'.

 

Yes, it sure will be awesome to have two elite defensive players on the same line. They will wreak absolute havoc. That will lead to a lot of wins.

 

If Clowney develops a non stop motor and he does not lose his burst, he certainly has DPOY potential.

Clowney gets to play his first game back in front of a national audience. The Electric Circus will dominate.

 

I hope to God that he's not rushed back. I'd rather the Texans miss the playoffs than risk Clowney's career. We need him healthy and productive until at least 2024.
