Love is not going anywhere. Especially since he's finally going to taste success with the Cavs.

Does he give Cleveland a discount?

This almost never happens in the NBA. Players expect the incumbent team to pay them MORE because the rules allow them to.

TD and Dirk are very rare exceptions who did it because of their special, 15+ year relationships with their teams, HOF level coaches and declining ability.

OKC does not need Love. Durant and Westbrook can all shoot. A rim protector like Ibaka is perfect

    Honestly. . . . .I don't see how Cleveland wins in this
    Miami Championship Bosh > Love
Meaning . . . If he leaves Cleveland would have lost wiggins for nothing
If he stays his Max Contract maybe prohibiting them from getting other good parts

maybe a sign in trade or something

The season has to play out first. If Cleveland wins their first NBA title in history, that trumps everything. In spades! If Love plays a key part of it and re-signs, then it can happen again next year.

If the Cavs falter and Love leaves for nothing, there will be more off-season theater for us all.

Cleveland would be better off getting Millsap for cheaper (he plays better D) and then using the extra money at other positions.

How is his three point shot?
LeBron needs a Stretch 4 to clear room for him and Kyrie to drive
They cannot have a lane clogger

Love is opting in, two solid chances with Cleveland to win a ring and then free choices in 2016 to get the super max contract with a team of his choice.

I believe Love will be heading home to the Lakers. The Lakers will be a big player this off season and with Kobe on his last year of his contract, the Lakers will be all in to getting to the finals next season. I can see the Lakers also adding Rondo and Monroe, they wil have the cash to do so.

I'd love this. The Lakers would remain mediocre at best. Love is clearly not the guy you want if you want to win big.

Would a Bosh for Love trade be possible?

I mean, I don't see Riley doing it unless he knows Bosh isn't going to be back fully because I don't think Riley does anything to help LeBron/Cavs. But I can definitely see interest from both sides.

    Random thought.

Listening to the BS report. It goes without saying that this is totally opinion based, but Bill Simmons and Zach Lowe predict that Kevin Love seriously considers leaving if Cleveland doesn't make the finals.

They're take: If he goes to the Lakers, its bad for his personal brand (which he cares about), that the celtics are going to make a run at him.

More interestingly they were saying that we should not count out the Rockets going after him because (1) Morey loves him and (2) we should not underestimate the relationship with between McHale and Love (which Simmons says is one of the only good relationships Love has in the NBA).

They were talking about what the Rockets would have to do to get him - they won't have the cap space, but have assets for a sign and trade. Bill Simmons says that he wouldn't doubt that Morey would flip Dwight to create the space to get him and that there are plenty of teams that would take Dwight.

Thought the same thing. Always hear about Morey coveting a stretch four.

Although I don't think Love would object to being played like Dmo has for most of the season.

There's a stat out there about Harden's missed shots resulting in an abnormally high number of offensive rebounds. Imagine having Love down there to vacuum everything up around the glass.

He can set picks for Harden then roll, pop or hit cutters off the wing. And yes, he'll get 5+ attempts from 3.

He helps us in a category we're not elite in - rebounding.

His defense sucks but he's a fit here. I can see why Morey would want him.

I am happy with jones and dmo at the 4. You understimate Loves atrocious defense.

Tjones and Dmo at 2-5 million a piece > Kevin Love for 22 million.... and its not close... the salary cap is about value people... the two guys we have now are fantastic for their cost
