I think with Harden and Kyrie you have the same situation as Curry and Harden. Curry and Kyrie are just better shooters than Harden is. They can sink the difficult shots. That's not Harden's MO. Harden is a smarter player, and a product of a smarter system. Harden takes better shots and accordingly is able to hit them at a high clip (or draw the foul to further increase his efficiency). If you're talking about raw skills on offense, I gotta say Harden isn't in those other guy's atmosphere. Overall? Harden is above Kyrie, and as unpopular as it is not to pick the best player on the best team Harden is better than Curry is. Of course, I am heavily biased here.

I've said it before.......watch the Rockets make a huge sell of DMo for Love at the deadline. I don't think Cleveland would do it, but DMo is a MUCH better fit for their needs than Love is, and Love is a much better fit for our needs than DMo is.

DMo is comfortable playing off ball, a good defender, is developing as a corner 3 shooter, and has an elite post game....all things that Cleveland needs.

Love needs playmaking responsibilities, is great with a team that plays the fastbreak, is a proven shooter in the halfcourt, and gives you great rebounding next to a shot blocker. Cleveland doesn't have shot blockers, can't give him playmaking with Kyrie/Lebron on the court, doesn't run the fastbreak, and doesn't really need his rebounding.

Again, I don't think it will happen......but I do believe that both teams would be better for it.

And the Rockets are ~$300K below the luxury tax. How would you match salaries? But I cannot disagree with your assertion. There are about 30 players in the NBA that are worth D-Mo IMHO. Love is one of them.

Yep. Houston is a much better fit for Love than OKC.

Although I don't see any way that Cleveland trades him after giving up Andrew Wiggins to get him. Which I thought was a stupid trade at the time because Wiggins is a great fit next to Kyrie and Lebron.

Should have just traded Waiters and Anthony Bennett for a great role player instead.

I mean Kyrie may arguably be more skilled based on his ridiculous finishes under the rim, but I'm not sure what else he does better than James... He's not THAT much better of a shooter, and James is a better creator, passer, rebounder, defender...

DMO, Capela, KPAP, Terry is enough to match salary.

Also Cleveland could then combine Brendan Haywood and KPap in a trade for Joe Johnson to give the Nets massive salary relief.

Love would be an awesome fit on The Rockets, because of the style we play, but n saying that he has been nothing but an injury prone face stomping stats padder his while career so far...when / if he makes the playoffs his reputation will change, but right now he is a glorified Christian Lattner / Tom Gugliotta.

    Kevin Love career 3pt %: 35.7
Serge Ibaka career 3pt% 38.3 (and rising every year)

    Just saying...

Love is a far superior rebounder, but doesn't play much D. Ibaka is a fantastic defender and help defender.
Westbrook and Durant take more shots per game than Lebron and Kyrie, AND also like the lane 'clear' so they can get to the rim. I very much doubt they would trade Ibaka for Love....

Man, Aldridge would eat Love alive. It'd be worse than TJones on LMA. The terror of that matchup in the playoffs scares the piss out of me.

I think he meant their defense.

My issue with all-star players today is they feel entitled to 15-20 shots a game now. There were better offensive talents at the 4 position in the 80's that survived on 8-12 shots a game. I think that speaks to how good those 4-5's were back then compared to now.

Mchale survived on 12.5 shots for his career and is still regarded as one of the best post scorers of all time. Neither Love or Bosh should be speaking as Lebron is probably better in the low post than both of them.

It's not that hard really. It would probably take a 3rd team, who would get the NOP 1st in return for another good player to go to Cleveland, but it doesn't have to.

Cleveland cuts James Jones and Joe Harris.

Cleveland In: DMo, Beverley, Papa, Terry, NOP 1st
    Houston In: Love, Marion

    Beverley / Shumpert
    Irving / Smith
    Lebron / Miller
    DMo / Thompson
    Mozgov / Thompson

That lineup should be great on both ends of the court.

More likely it would be a 3 team deal.

    Houston In: Love
Boston In: Terry, Nick Johnson, NOP 1st
Cleveland In: DMo, Avery Bradley, KPap

    or

    Houston In: Love
Miami In: NOP 1st, TJones, Papanikolaou, Terry
Cleveland In: Luol Deng, DMo, Beverley

Not saying that these would be the actual trades.

Ibaka is nothing but a help defender at best.

Why would you put Love on LMA? Wouldn't you put Love on Robin Lopez, and a rotation of Dwight/Smith on LMA??

I would rather have Tiago Splitter than Serge Ibaka on defense. Any day.

I wonder if Kevin Love will leave Cleveland before or after Marc Gasol leaves Memphis.

Nobody with better options wants to play in these dumps.

Because Howard does not guard outside of 10 feet effectively? Actually Howard is really bad at that. D-Mo is perhaps the best option, but that match up does not have enough minutes for me to get a handle on it.

And as we discussed previously you have no idea what you are talking about.
