Hypothetical Kevin Durant Scenario

As much as I love Durant. I think at best we would be #3 on his list (Wizards, Thunder)

Mike Conley would be my biggest target. Could do a lot worse than with Ariza, Brewer & Dekker playing SF minutes.

Ariza/Brewer/Dekker
DMo/Smooth/Harrell
Howard/Capela

 

They all hung out in Vegas a month or so ago. Don't think there's any dislike.

 

Don't forget Lebron at the veterans minimum.

Durant hates Dwight with his soul, Durant will never be a Rocket.

 

I'm not saying he's coming because I don't think he is but don't confuse trash talk during a game for "hate each other".

 

So some trash talk means Durant hates Dwight? That is a stretch. This shows who has actually played any basketball at a high level.

Why pay Kevin Durant $25 million when we have Sam Dekker? Makes no sense.

 

So we can play them together. Streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetch.

 

Gut feeling is that there's a good chance Durant comes here. Even so, I don't want the prospect of that happening to diminish the team the Rockets put on the floor this coming season, even a little bit. Too much can happen in an NBA season with injuries, etc. We've already had health scares with Howard. Here's hoping management is all-in this year.
