Just playing here. Let's imagine the Rockets drafted Lewis instead of Turkan, and somehow everything turned out the same. We still get Francis. We still had an injury plagued season last year for a dissapoing finish. We still drafted Ming and Nachbar. And Lewis was the same player he is today. He put up the same stats, same minutes, everything. And Lewis still turned up his nose at a $75,000,000 ($90,000,000 with incentives) contract. What would you do if you were the Rockets brass. Sign him or let him walk. Trading is not an option(my scenario my rules), and besides, so far Seattle has been unable to work a trade. Here is my point. One of our favorite laments/ complains/ whines is the not drafting of Lewis. If you would not sign him now, you have to give up that rant.
If he was here from the beginning, I think he would be like Cuttino and Mo, he just wouldn't want to leave and sign for less.
Carroll Dawson already has said that if we would have drafted Lewis then he and Dickerson would have been traded for Francis, and we'd still have Othella, but not Maurice. Speculation is useless. But speculative time-machine, back-seat driving, after the fact, hypotheticals is like talking to William Shattner in a gay bar, and he insists that you call him Captain and where leather chaps like him so that you blend in with the 20th century, alien, non-Enterprise surroundings. So, I have a Hypo for yeah, Pat. If someone else posted a sci-fi, time-machine, hypothetical and took sarcasmic ribbing for it, would you laugh at them???
I really dont like Lewis. He has been getting on my nerve b/c people been talkin about him for no reason.... Like i give a beep about him
