This was former GM current(sorta) coach Mchale pick. He came out and said he fought hard for this pick and that Royces college coach swore by him. ISU coach Fred Hoiberg worked for McHale when McHale was GM for the Timberwolves

 

Royce ****e hasn't played high level basketball after college, for years now. He is absolutely done, there is literally no future for him in NBA. If someone tries to give him NBA minutes it's obviously DOC - the worst GM for a reason.

 

Lol just because Fred Hoiberg was a player under McHale's GM staff does not mean a thing.....

He probably recommended taking a look at White, but with those red flags already in place I would not assume anyone strongly advocating for such a player.

 

Hoiberg did bring out the best of White.... He played limited amount of games even in College....

I am sure he did already heap on those Technicals and Ejections , I never wanted someone who seems to be entitled, starting a fight for no reason,

and people here were saying he had our players' back because he started to shove the opponent in Summer League, freakin Summer League

Outside of that one YouTube video showing Royce White and his agent talking before the draft, I've never seen any proof that McHale was the mastermind behind White being selected by Houston.

 

Just saying all the right things kind of like when he got here with the Rockets. He will eventually go full drama mode on them, as soon as that contact becomes guaranteed.
