If I can post seriously for a second here, I don't have a problem with Lin. He's a knucklehead at times, but a workable knucklehead.

His fanbase on the other hand, I never want to interact with any of them again. Please stay away.

While I understand why people hate Lin so much. I guess Morey thinks Lin is better at the MLE than Goron would be at close to a max contract.

I would be ok with the idea of Lin returning at 3 million a year

that said I'm on clutchfans ALOT, I would not be ok with the idea of the LOFs coming back.

    That is all.

Honestly, the only complaints I had over the Lin-era was:
    1) The turnovers and inconsistent numbers
Game 4 of last year's playoffs rings in the head and serves as the highlight of this point. He was pretty careless with the ball and tried to do too much, at times. The Lin jump-pass is just horrible.
    2) The contract
Not really his fault. I'm a firm believer that if money is offered to you, you take it especially for professional players. I can't blame Lin for taking a 8M/year contract even if he is really worth 3-4M. Wish he would have performed up to his 8M salary but the Rockets were paying for the potential of "Linsanity p.2" in Houston, not for what Lin was at the time. I think that if his contract was so high at 8M/year, people wouldn't have been so hard on him.
    3) The LOF/LOH threads that would destroy this forum on a nightly basis
Self-explanatory. There would be nights, especially in losses, that I would log out of CF until the next day to avoid all the "Harden/McHale/Bev is limiting Lin" typer threads.

Other than that, he was a viable player for us. Capable secondary playmaker, capable of having some 20+point games, capable 6th man type player in the right system. Even though he is more of a shooting guard, he probably has the best point guard skills of any of our point guards right now.

For the right contract (~3M/year), I wouldn't mind him returning if he is the only viable point guard out there. I do hope our mods will be more strict on the LOF/LOH threads.

A half million or less /per a year, then I do not have a problem for him on the team.

Come to think of it, Lin would be a great fit.

    On the Vipers.

I don't hate this idea simply because our bench is just pure defense now. I love how Smith and Brewer are playing together but they aren't great at getting their own shot in the half court set. Going to a pick and roll offense with Lin and D-Mo while Harden is on the bench is probably better than anything we have now.
