Charles Barkley thinks this would be a move made by an idiot.

Lin for 3 mil off the bench would be nice, as long we have a legit guy starting.

Meh, don't think it would be that bad.

    Shooting 37% from 3.

Can penetrate and finish around the rim.

On a good contract and minus the lofs it would be ok. But the Lof will always follow

    Le$ Le$ Le$

This screams Le$ doing. Trying to draw the Lin fans in for money and get those deals in Asia.

LOFs are admittedly annoying, but at the right price Lin of course would be a valuable addition. Even this year sometimes when Harden is on the bench we miss his playmaking and pick and roll ability. And don't forget point guards take longer to develop than other positions. We can't expect/hope for him to be a star, but I don't think it's unreasonable to think with age he'll become a more consistent version of what he was his first go around here, with a continually improving outside shot.

I don't have any problem with Lin. I think he makes a decent PG off the bench. But, I don't think the Rockets should go back to that well. With the baggage he has from the last stint of being overpaid, losing his starting spot, and then getting dumped for cap-space, I think everyone will be better off if he starts with a clean slate someplace else. No resentments, no prejudices (from past experiences, not referring to his Chineseness).
