In the last 4 seasons, he’s missed 14, 13, 44 and 52 games, and he wants (and will probably get) a max contract, in spite of his well documented personality issues. No Thanks.
Of course. A Rondo sitting on the bench in street clothes is still better than a playing Rubio. Not even close!
im not surprised. for rondo, an injury like a broken hand won't keep him off the floor the whole time that's been published. the same guy that dislocates his elbow and comes right back. not many guys in the league that would do that.
Rondo has played only half of his games for the past 3 seasons. You can argue a lot of things in favor of Rondo. Health is not one of them.
if you went back to the original messages, the responses about health were in lieu of the Rondo/Rubio discussion. not to argue rondo is healthy.
Rubio is much healthier than Rondo, especially if you stress recent health given that we're talking about getting a player today, not 3 years ago.
he might be much healthier just by looking at the past 3 seasons but hes still not anywhere near rondo's level as far as basketball
Wolverine has not experienced that yet but he has to be on that list of one of the toughest out there.
Responding to bratna8 in a thread I started, while multitasking...and in a great mood. Let's get something straight kiddo, just because I've been shot and am back to being Zenman, doesn't mean it's open season. Relax.
It's not even close Rondo is much better than Rubio. Rondo isn't a punk or thug he sometimes gets b****y because he's so competitive. Howard is soft I think it would be good for someone to call him out a bit to toughen him up and hold him accountable, same on the defensive end with Harden. For those who think Rondo is going to be traded for a bunch of expiring deals and NO's pick keep dreaming. Rondo is more valuable as a sign and trade in the offseason, Celtics aren't going to just dump him for nothing. Maybe if Wallace's contract is included. IMO as the season progresses more and more teams will be interested in him, maybe your in state rival the Mavs. There is no doubt the Rockets are worse this year than last. Ariza had a nice season last year but it was a career year in a contract year, we all have seen that play out a time or two. When are the Rockets looking to win? Does anyone think they have a shot at a championship this season the way their team stands? They're good don't get me wrong but I dont think they're better than OKC, Spurs or Clippers and that's just the teams you have to go through to get to the dance never mind facing a team in the East like Cleveland. Houston needs to **** or get off the pot
If Rondo manages to play every game between now and the trade deadline, does his value significantly improve - does it ameliorate the "brittle" label? Conversely, if he misses ten or fifteen games in that span does it make the brittle tag any worse? Risk/Reward, the Celtics might be better off by gambling on his ability to stay healthy for an extended stretch to bolster value, as unlikely as that seems.
Thanks Cheke64 not trying to pretend I'm not a Celtics fan hence the screen name. I have been following along with a couple of these threads you guys have, great site.
