He clearly is and at the rate he is going, it won't even be close once he ends his career. Stop being salty.
why? while that statement isnt undebatable, it wasnt a ridiculous one either. who in your mind was the best shooter ever? just curious.
It's not ridiculous, I don't think I've witnessed someone make 3s after 3s so consistently. That being said, he's a shooter and I would not rank him among the elite basketball players of all time, that would be absurd.
TEAM BALL is the answer. Golden State got so many easy paint points in the first game. i think our main problem is spacing. We keep having too many guys huddled around in the same area, there needs to be more movement off the ball
Does this really need a thread? It's just one game.. and one team (same as any other team). Are we going to have a 'how we beat the Heat'? or 'how we beat the Thunder' next? What's the big deal.
we all know how the spurs lost the last game of the regular season and how that affected their playoffs journey. what's the big difference, be it the first game of the season or the last? in the west, you've gotta snatch every winnable game. that's the big deal here. from his post-game comments, i think mchale knows this. but somehow he cant push this concept thru to his troops.
did the spurs get swept? oh the series went to 7 games and a last second shot. what an "affect". get ready to do all this +20 more times since its such a big deal
my understanding of bball is that it ultimately is a shooting game. in the end, x's and o's, p&r, teamball, iso, rebounding, etc., they all inevitably come down to shooting. if you cant make shots, you cant win the game. by default, the greatest shooter (or one of) qualifies as one of the "all time great", i think. that fits curry's case too. what i am uncertain is if he's truly the top 10 or another top 50 kinda of all time great. i guess we will have a clearer answer by the end of his career.
well, did they win anything last yr.? in that regard, does it matter if its a sweep or a 7-game nail-biter? isnt it fair to say had they had the hc, their fate (as well as the rockets) couldve been different?
I'm not taking anything away from Curry. I think he is a hell of a ball player but the greatest shooter of all time? I disagree.
theres no way of knowing that obviously and the spurs have made it well known they don't prioritize hc in the playoffs.
just keep watching him and he will change your mind. Check the release, consistency, and difficulty of the shots. His shot is video game status.
I don't think the problem is Morey Ball. The problem lies in executing it efficiently. Play calling, setting screens, spacing the floor, cutting to the basket and especially off ball movement are critical to making higher percentage shots.
i agree, i brought that up in the "disrespect" thread. When you shoot 20% from 3, most of that just comes down to execution. Hopefully there won't be too many more of those nights.
Same way we beat them in Game 4 of the WCF. Need the variance to go our way (unlike the Nuggets game). We need the Rockets to make a high % of their threes, hope the threes don't fall for the Warriors, and Harden needs to get the calls from the refs.
