Sorry if this topic has been posted but I can't search the forum. I recently went from Starter difficulty to all star and my record is something like 3 - 6. I absolutley can't stop anyone in the post, I press and hold L2 for lock down D, i stay right in their grill, jump at the right time and they still drain it in my face.

I also have a hard time staying with players who drive in to the lane, it seems they are just so much quicker than me but on the other end I can't shake them at all, they stick to me like glue. The computer shoots like 63% from the field on a nightly basis.

One constant annoyance too is when a player is posting up, my defender instead of staying behind him and just playing defense will always go in front and try to swipe at the ball when it's passed, when he misses, the post player gets a wide open lane to dunk it home and this happened a ton and I couldn't control this without taking control of the post defender but then I'm leaving my on ball defender at the computer's control which sucks ass at defense too.

Are there any tips on playing Defense for this difficulty setting? It seems like the computer has a huge unfair advantage.

Also, anyone else notice that when you have a face break situation, your guy who is in front of everyone slows down like crazy and the computer player speeds like crazy and can always catch up. I never have a clean fast break even if my player is like 10 feet in front of everyone.

I mainly use one guy to roam the passing lanes. I get lots of steals and try to fastbreak. It lets me blowout everybody on the hardest difficulty with as cruddy a team as I can get. I use a 60 rated team.

Try to deny them the ball. If they get the ball, go for the steal and make them make a play. It helps to have a good weak side D.

But you really just have to accept that they will make bull**** shots against you on the higher difficulties.

Yao and Shane are monsters when it comes to blocks.

But I agree, it's hard to stay in front of your man when your player skates around. The easiest way is to turn off foul and just keep fouling them (is that possible on 2k11?)
