Exactly. A team should only make that kind of reach when the player puts them over the top as a championship contender.

I think he's going to love offering the contract when the Rockets match.

He regrets it already. While he is overpriced, Chandler's value is probably around 12 million and you have to overpay to a RFA. The fact that we may match it and we already snatch Ariza puts Cuban in a predicament.

Exactly. The only thing Cuban loses is 3 days with his cap tied.

I assumed that now that we got ariza, at such a good value, we won't need chandler.

Already is. He can't sign anyone until the Rockets match, which they will, at the last second. Ariza is gone, Deng is gone, as well as all the top SFs. They are ****ed. Morey won this round. it's a big contract but only for 2 years. He and Howard will opt out in 2 years.

Who is Lin? Isn't he some backup that used to play for us a while back?

Although Lin only hit cap at 8.3

However, Parsons and Ariza on an avg of 11 each is fair value for each of them....

I bet he is regretting it now as all his back up SF options are being taken, especially Ariza who Houston signed anyway. He deserves it though.

Honestly, if we can get a legit PF option, I would let Parsons go. I'm a huge Parsons fan but he isn't worth that type of money, not to mention the the trade kicker and player option. If we let Parsons go to Dallas, the Mavs cannot make anymore moves.

Let Cuban regret his decision for another 3 years.

We have to sign another piece then keep Parsons. He represents money that can be traded at a later date.
