The Warriors are probably the most complete team in the West right now. They have shooters (Curry, Thompson), Wing defender (Igoudala), Rim protector/Big enforcer (Bogut), Scoring/Rebounding PF (David Lee), they're just missing a veteran leader off the bench like a Ray Allen or Derek Fisher type. Maybe in a couple years, Lin can be that veteran, but right now he's too inexperienced.
He'd be playing an even smaller role than he would on the Rockets because Iguodala is doing a lot of their playmaking. However, he would make their offense more well-rounded, since he would add a player that is proficient in driving to the basket.
The Spurs disagree. The Spurs do literally everything that the GSW do, and do better other than shoot the ball, and lately Curry has fallen back down to earth with his outside shooting anyways. The Warriors are a good team but I think they are bit overrated nationally just cause Curry and Thompson have their moments that make the basketball world drop everything they are doing to watch them drain buckets like nothing we have ever seen before. However I seriously doubt that Steph Curry is a good enough superstar to be considered the best player in a Finals series. Playoff series its even questionable when facing a a top 10 playoff team in the league. You really need that Alpha dog to have a chance to win a finals series.
What is the point of this thread?! Is this ever going to happen? It did happen when Lin first signed with GSW but that was way before either were players they are today. Now, there is almost no likelyhood unless Lin signs there after his contract is up but then GSW would not have the necessary cap unless they signed Lin to minimum salary. I do think if GSW get an actual quality back up point, then they would be even more dangerous. But seriously, why is this thread here? This is pure fantasy. It's like asking what if KD was traded to the Heat for Wade and Bosh.
These are threads you usually see in the summer time. but i would stop watching basketball. it wouldn't be fair anymore at all. lbj would want to sign with gs along with howard.
Does OP realise Iggy is a ball dominant playmaker? Even less touches for Lin on the Warriors... And they're not taking away the ball from Thompson when he runs with the 2nd unit.
