I believe they will be a 2nd seed come playoff time, behind miami at 1. Its brooklyn's first year with that core, so I think they will be 4th place. Its not certain that miami can repeat again, and boston is the only team in the east that can give them a run for a finals spot. The addition of melo, sullinger, lee, and terry is actually huge. I honestly believe ray allen is well past his prime, and that will be proven this season with the heat.

Agreed. They CAN beat the heat, but it all comes down to injuries and the health of players. Both of these teams do have the depth to get to the finals.

That's a very strong team, but it lacks a LeBron James.

1st round exit at best. I could even see them missing the playoffs. Pierce and Garnett are OLD and Rondo, while good, isn't the superstar people seem to think he is.

Lose 7 games in a hard fought 2nd round to the Heat. They have a solid TEAM (like the Pacers) but no overwhelming individuals anymore.

    Carmelo
    Stodemiere
    Tyson chandler, camby

I also think that Rondo, for all of his offensive limitations, plays with the most determination of any player outside of Kobe. He's tough.

bla bla bla, if they are healthy they could be a dynasty...c'mon man!

Bosh missed most of that series and Wade was injured for most of the playoffs, if Miami is healthy Boston does not have a chance, they cannot stop Wade or Bron at the rim unless KG wants to leave Bosh wide open.

To top it off the Heat added the best 3pt shooter in the history of the NBA to their team who just so happened to be a part of that Boston team last year.

They go as far as Pierce and Garnett can take them. I think their window is around 2 more seasons.

They're like the Spurs of the East but deeper. Everybody always wants to write off the Celtics and Spurs and it won't happen if KG is around and Rondo is running the show they always have a chance. Just like how if Duncan is around and Parker is running the point they always have a chance as well. If Pierce and Gino are healthy these teams really fire on all cylindars. The difference is the Celtics added some youth and athleticism as well.

I don't think the loss of Ray Allen hurts them much especially with the addition of Terry and Lee. There's games where Allen couldn't miss and then games where you wondered why he couldn't make anything with that pretty stroke and all. I think Terry is more consistent and he's the ultimate clutch performer. I can see him burning the Heat.

Courtney Lee should slow down a lot of opposing wings and he's a much better defender than Ray Allen at this point.

Sullinger is NBA ready and he will contribute right away and Jeff Green is a solid player as well.

This was a team on the verge of beating the Heat if not for that BS non call on Rondo. It will be another hard fought 7 game battle to see who comes out of the East again.
