I only drink Tequila, and I drink about a half bottle every month. Sometimes it happens in one night though.

It's summertime...the Paloma is a great cocktail. So many different varieties, but just so good.

So is the Shandy, euro gf of mine introduced me to that a few years ago, that's an all day sipper.

You want something off the beaten path? Zubrowka + splash of apple juice on ice. Viva Polonia.

I drink my tequila neat, but I've had Zubrowka with apple juice before. I spend a week in Warsaw a decade ago and that's what all the kids drank back then.

That is awesome. I like you...I don't know you, but I like you.

Dunno how the kids mix it, but I'm 3 parts to a splash and I still do love it when the weather's hot.

You ever hit Krakow, or just Warszawa? Sopot? Zakopane?

Didn't get a chance to go to Krakow, but should have. I heard it's beautiful. I spent the whole week drinking vodka and apple juice in Warsaw and eating duck every meal. I had a wonderful time. I think they mixed it 50/50. Definitely not 3 parts vodka. If that was the case, I would have died there.

Eating duck every meal? You must have been hanging out with the rich poloks. Mine were all pork and pierogi people.

I so wish, more than anything, that I had the authentic recipe for 'bigos' that we had there and then cooked again in the states. Best stew on Earth.

Yeah, that place is great fun. Do it, go for the shank.

Better than that restaurant is the store/deli next door. They have great stuff, especially the sausages, ask for samples before you buy. Damn, I miss that place and those peeps.

I do still need to figure out how to ask my ex for her mom's bigos recipe, it was a 14-step process, someday I may figure it out via trial and error.

Yep. They had the best mustard. Sadly, my Polish friend said they don't carry it anymore.

I am shocked and impressed that you know the same shop, ol' girl and I went there all the time and then took stuff to her parents in Austin.

What are some of your other finds there? You ever try the smoked mackrel?

    That *is* a good one.

I'm not a tequila connoisseur, I love good sippers and I like good strong ones mixed with a little lime and salt and syrup (which is a ****ing margarita I guess).

Mescal is one of my favorite things, but it does get me in trouble sometimes.

Which Casa Noble do you like? And for what?

I like the reposado and anejo. I drink all my tequilas neat though I drink margaritas sometimes like the way you drink it.

Never even tried smoked Mackerel, but next time I'm over there, I'll try it. (used to date a girl over there. I should've taken advantage.)

My friend had me get a few things but, man... That mustard was the stand out. Only reason I don't order it is because the shipping is $10 bucks. Meh, maybe I'll buy a bundle and give them out as Christmas gifts

That is freaking great mustard, the horseradish one is solid too. This powdered borscht mix is great, especially in cold weather. I'd add some pepper and drink it like tea. Phonecia carried it, and a bunch of other Polish stuff, back in the day also.
