No alcohol in 4 months. Of the three days I drank this year - just a couple of beers each time. Caffeine is a far better drug - it is a performance enhancing drug. Alcohol is a poison.
beer - not much beer except in the summer when its hot as balls outside. so maybe 4-5 beers a week on average. last night there was a festival in the park across the street and had too many beers to count wine - plenty of wine. only red and typically a malbec or shiraz with dinner every weeknight. probably 2-3 bottles of red per week hard liquor - only on weekends. typically 2-3 cocktails before dinner out on Friday or Saturday nights with the wife. friday night had a few martinis before dinner (which is the norm)
Beer: 5-6 Wine: 0-1 bottles Liquor: Depends Don't really drink on weekdays and have never been much of a beer with dinner person. Most of my drinking these days is while BBQing and have become a big fan of 750 ml beers. Give me a belgian all day. Liquor I just don't enjoy as much. Too much work to make a good cocktail, but a nice old fashioned or mint julep is fun.
I drink beer, wine, bourbon amongst other things but am trying to curve it down...try not to drink more than 2-3 times a week. And only 4 drink limit (I am a big guy).
I probably average 4 drinks a day. I probably don't go more than 2 or 3 days without drinking, but my average is boosted by occasional visits to Russian friends where it pours until the sun comes up. Alcohol is very expensive here, so I don't drink the tequilas and single malts I used to in the US. My favorite is good red wine, but if it's not that good, I drink whatever whiskey doesn't suck. I drink all spirits neat. Beer I crave and try to avoid, but I still probably have about 3 liters of it a week, especially in summer. It's tough to be sweaty in sweltering heat and drink red wine or whiskey. I probably lose 15 pounds when I avoid beer completely for a few months.
Beer: 12-20 a week (all craft beers) Wine: A bottle a week, perhaps two if it is a long lunch. Liquor: Very picky. Currently sipping Dalmore 28, which was a gift. Roughly every month I will go without and alcohol, but then I have to try a new craft beer and it starts again.
I can go months without alcohol, I'll only drink on occasions. I avoid liquor all together except the occasional shot. I don't think I've ever drank wine other than that cheap boxed stuff my aunt has. And even that only a few times.
