should a contending team fill with developing players? Just an opinion-based question. Of the 15 roster spots, Rockets are currently using 5 roster spots on players who shouldn't ideally get PT on a championship-contending team (canaan, covington, g. smith, terrance jones, donatas). Is this a good number of developmental players to hang onto? Should a contending team have more, or less, like the Heat? Or is having, say, 13 "quality-now" players too much anyways, since rotations usually include 9-10 players anyways
Rockets can go 10 deep in their rotation without any of those 5 seeing anything but garbage minutes, if that. That's pretty deep considering most teams rotate 7 maybe 8.
Let's see: 2 superstars 3 great role players 1 sixth man 3 good role players 3 veterans With that said: 3 developing players
