Honestly, Celtics Rondo and Perkins - can't knock down a shot outside the lane. Can't shoot freethrows. KG - has been able to post up and hits most of his jumpers. Pierce - mostly wide open 3s and step back jumpers. (cannot post up) Ray Allen - Spot up shooter who has missed 1 million straight 3s and rarely drives. Can't play worse on the offensive end. Tony Allen - Can't shoot Glen Davis - Drives or catch and drive everytimes, has a jump shot but havent seen in the series. Nate - played one good game. but only 12 points. Lakers Fisher - shooter, clutch. Kobe - KOBE Artest - brought in basically to guard Pierce and avg 20 pts last season shooting 40% from 3. Gosol - 20/10/2 50+%field 80+% freethrow Bynum - GG when catches in the lane. Farmar - drives shoots plays good D. brown - drives shoots dunks avg D. Odom - poor mans KG, but faster and creates mismatch Sasha - spot up shooter, plays relatively good D on spot up shooters.
The Celtics are up 3-2 because of their defense. Their defense just happens to create offensive opportunities at the other end of the floor. Defense creates offense and the Celtics are showing the Lakers how its done. Team effort is what it's all about.
yeah, not to mention he's evaluating their offense this series based on averages and overall feel, rather than taking it on a game by game basis. It's all about guys stepping up when others are having problems. When two great teams collide you're rarely going to have one running on all cylinders where all the guy play well game after game. Kobe got hung out to dry by his teammates, no help. Boston has had guys stepping up in timely moments in all of their victories.

LOL. And yeah, defense kind of matters more. The Celtics half-court offense has been pretty awful to watch, hence Simmons dubbing it the Clogged Toilet offense. But the Celtics gets stops, get out in transition, and score.
Defense, defense, defense Not to mention, you only stated negatives about Celtics and positives about Lakers. You can make one sided arguments say whatever you want.
All of these things can be overlooked because chemistry is the most important thing on a nba team. Look at the Rockets they over suceeded because of chemistry.
Have you watched ANY of the games? The games Boston has won = Boston played great defense and decent offense. The games Boston has lost = Boston played great defense, and poor offense. Celts D leads to fast break; Rondo may not be able to shoot, but he is able to penetrate well into the lane for the easy 2, or dish it out for Pierce / Allen. You can't just look at the box score, and come to a conclusion.
For sure, Rondo is more than just a guy who has no shot..... He can literally penetrate at will and create. Get offensive rebounds that no guard on the lakers can get and ray allen although he is missing will keep the lakers defense honest and spread out.
When the #1 guy is "eating first" and taking all the shots, it doesn't matter who the #2, #3, and #4 guys are. The common theme about Kobe-led teams is that they never seem to have a good enough supporting cast.
