Well, there is a chance that JVG would get picked up by another team, if so, we wouldn't have to pay JVG the rest of his contract.

I agree. People expected this team to at make the playoffs.

I think given enough tension after the season (no play-offs), JVG would snap. I mean come on - look at this guy.

Do not forget that we were going to eat Rudy's 3 years at 5Mil each.
There is a chance. Depending on how we do in the next month or 2.

i am not saying I'm for it at this point.

Change is Immenit. Bring in an athletic 4 and our problems are solved.

Are we still paying RudyT? I doubt it. Usually contracts like that end when someone else signs them and in this case him signing with the Lakers got him from our book (at least should).

actually doesn't that depend on whether or not he got a buy out

I don't think we still paying him .. . because he was an employee
and ASKED for permission to interview for the Laker job
I think that when he got the job . . like any other
Rudy put in his 2 weeks notice and was out . . . .

However. . .I don't things will be as smooth with JVG

    Also . .
    1. JVG WILL NOT BE FIRED BEFORE THE END OF THE SEASON
I mean . .we will have to go on a 20 game losing streak for
something like that to happen . .. if we 41-41 . . he gets another
year. . . so I have NO EXPECTATION of JVG being fired
[him leaving on his own .. well that is another story . . no ideas on that]

    2. trading yao is stupid
DON'T trade Yao unless we get the SWEETEST DEAL or Yao demands it and we cannot reconcile. . .otherwise. . . Yao is a rocket Lifer

    3. No trading T-mac either

JVG goes before T-mac or Yao . . .to me it is that simple
If a team cannot win behind that talent. . it is the coaches fault
Whether through motivation or education he needs to get more out
    of his players

I'm just d*mn disappointed right about now

If the Rockets are 41-41 (and presumably out of the playoffs), and Jeff Van Gundy is not fired/forced to accept reassignment the day afterwards, you will see the tumbleweeds blowing through the season ticket renewal office.

I don't know if any Bulls' fan or Hornets' fan looks into this thread and starts thinking 'There guys must be crazy'.
In this way, we might have around 20 head coaches getting fired every season.

TNT hires JVG for one season. Then some crap team can their coach and hires JVG. The best scenario would be for JVG to quit on the team like he did with the Knicks.

Or maybe Les can tell him to play Yao differently and cause JVG to break a corposul and get fired for "just cause" and thus the Rocks don't have to pay his contract.

JVG made a comment to the NY press about the importance of a coach having his own hand-picked assistants. He was referring to the situation with Lenny Wilkens. Les should just can every single person on the bench. Put in Kareem Abdul Jabbar as the personal basketball trainer for Yao. Do stuff to make JVG mad. Hopefully, he quits.
