Don't be too harsh on Conley like that.
    Maybe Jameer Nelson instead?

Guess you never heard of Sleater-Kinney...

I would put them in music history just behind Def Leppard!

Can you really be great but obscure?

Also, I don't discount def leppard as a band they were truly great and when pyromania came out, it might be a little known fact today, but that album rivaled Thriller! Of course Thriller! when on to be unparalleled, but it shows you how popular def leppard was at that time.

I'm more interested in how you would rate def leppard compared to the eagles. That would tell me more about your thoughts.

I mean Manny, you know about music, so I don't discount what you say, but you have to know the greatest selling female band of all time with roughly half of a career and maybe less than that deserves respect.

The Eagles' Hell Freezes Over tour was one of the top grossing tours in history. A Dixie Chicks tour wouldn't come close to replicating that.

To me there are two bands that the public are thirsting to get back together. One is guns n roses. The other is the dixie chicks. Maybe a full tour by Britney Spears also. Or En vogue could probably be huge to.

I hated the Dixie Chicks until they were pulled from the air for bashing Bush.

Some better all-girl bands include the Supremes, the Ronettes, and to a lesser extent Destiny's Child and TLC.

Go to google: type dixie chicks reunion and then look at the articles dedicated to if they will come back, why they should come back etc. Go to their vidoes and their facebook and twitter fan sites and everyone somebody will be oining for them to comeback.

That's part of what I am basing it on. I'm also basing it on the fact that they have 2 of the top 10 albums ever in country music and the fact that it is been a decade since they left.

I think I am pretty safe in assuming that they would generate a ton of interest if they had a tour. Also, Natalie Maines saying she feels the dixie chick's time is over is just a cop out for not wanting to start a tour in america. She and the chicks tour overseas regularly but never really come to america.

So you like 3 girl bands? and 2 were from the 60s. By the way do you have a specific reason why you had the dixie chicks, also who is your favorite group, male or female?

what? I was going for the best girl-only bands of all time and it so happens that 2 of them were 60s bands. There are not very many woman-only bands compared to mixed gender and male-only bands. They are usually constructed to be girl-only bands for a reason, including the ones I mentioned. Of course I like a lot of bands with girl members and female solo artists. I never actually hated the Dixie Chicks I just never was interested in their music. Favorite group? I think that question is hated for valid reasons. I guess I listen to more music by male singers but that's probably the case with anyone you'll survey.
