He could be Parker? Billips (sic)? We will just have to agree to dis-- ... er... agree that you are all completely insane.
The way he bulls his way to the rim, I get a real Sarunas Marciulionis vibe. I get that he's a bit smaller and plays the 1 instead of the 2, but Sarunas used to be really good at changing the tone off the bench for the GSW. <object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fumWbJomIS4?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fumWbJomIS4?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="390"></embed></object>
Thank you for sanity. This makes some sense to me as a reasonable ceiling, and that would be fantastic. Maybe at 6-4 (6-3? I hear both), he could play some 2 with Lowry at the 1 and have a Sarunas type of impact from time to time. I just don't see him playing a lot of 1 the way he turns it over right now. EDIT: note that your video ends with a 4-for-4 FT stat for Marciulionis. Ah well. No comparison is perfect.
Isn't that K Mart's MO? The only problem is. . it sucks when the Refs swallows their whistles Rocket River
Dragic goes to the rim to finish, and does. Martin goes to the rim to get fouled, and sometimes gets the call.
I disagree that he's not a solid option off the bench. His turnover rate is high because of the style of play in PHX.....that should slow down when he comes here. In fact, in the game against the Spurs, you can here is coach saying "Don't worry about if you make a mistake.." I doubt that will be what Adelman tells him. I'd recommend watching his games against Utah, LA, and the Spurs for a glimpse at his potential. Right now he's spotty, which is to be expected...but he has all the tools to be a great player.
