ok, so aparently I am concidered one of the drunk posters on this BBS. well not being one to dissapoint, i am definately drunk enough to not dissapoint. so I will give you this poll its part of the game show... how drunk are you??... also keep in mind that its 230 am on saturday night. EST MMMM super bowl tomorrow. maybe i should add to this tomorow.
Dude, I just got off work and am on my second beer so I should probably come back and vote later......
i just started taking some anti-depressants and you're not supposed to drink with those. but lots of my friends say i can, and i don't know if they just want me to start drinking again, or if it really doesn't matter. Any thoughts? Probably not the best place to ask if everyone replying is drunk, but I figured it wouldn't hurt.
Personally, I don't drink at all, nor will I ever start. I've seen too many people ruined by it. But, it's everyone's right to be able to drink when they are of legal age and I'll respect that. To Princess - if the warning labels and doctors say don't do it, it's a pretty safe bet you shouldn't do it. Same for beer and many other medications. If your friends are just trying to get you to drink again for the sake of doing it, it's not worth it.
Good advice. I almost became one of those ruined by drinking. I don't drink anymore. Princess - Be your own person. You might night die while drinking on antidees, but you will get drunker faster. Mixing "enhancers" when drinking is definetly not a good idea. People said life would be boring without drinking. Here I am getting home at 4am. PARTY!!!!!
Drinking is like any and everything else in life --- it requires moderation and self-control. Drinking doesn't ruin lives, feeble minds do.
Which antidepressant is is? If it's a MAOI its a really bad idea. Tricyclics and you'll feel like you drank 2x. SSRI's no big deal. As far as the warining label goes, while I agree that if is actualy says 'don't drink under penalty of death' it's probably a bad idea, I think many drugs have not-so-ominous warnings worded in oh-so-ominous ways.
I'm drunker than shyte, or as I like to say: I think someone slipped something into my drink what? alcohol.
I am sorry you feel that way. For some people, drinking is an illness. Moderation and self control don't exist because of a disease. A disease of the mind and body. For many it is a problem of not controlling amounts or their behavior, but for others its a much deeper problem. Many great and strong men and women have been brought down by alcoholism. Many also have gone on to recover. They didn't have feeble minds, they had a disease.
I hope to hear from the superbowl drinkers tonight and this thread turned educational way too fast. why is it that a rockets based thread will always spiral downward towards crap, and useless negativity, while a thread about being drunk in the hangout will end up with usefull tips, and such??! this BBS is wacked
A better question would be: How much server space can we waste with useless threads posted by drunk people? Homer: To alcohol! The cause of and solutions to all of life's problems.
At least they are more interesting than the usual "Moochie Dribbles Too Much" and "Walt Sucks" threads!
