How much future are we talking about here? Wiggins+KaT can't even reach the playoffs in the West so I don't know why you think he is a difference maker. Love was shut down but he wasn't a liability last year, it's not like he was a total zero Love played great defense while again providing spacing and "gravity" for Lebron, Smith, Irving and Thompson to do their thing. Your replacement player can't provide spacing and also defend GSW's frontcourt, guys like Love are rare in the league in fact if you look at the last 2 playoffs ALL the stretch PFs in the playoffs played like **** including LMA, Blake Griffin, Ibaka etc. the difference is majority of them couldn't have defended GSW frontline like Love could have. And this year Love has been killing it he is averaging a double double while still defending at a great rate.

Love is only 28 years old it's not like he's an old man. By the time Wiggins reaches his prime (around 26-28) Lebron would be on the way to retirement so you missed out on Lebron's window entirely. The Cavs already have Irving to rely on down the line (dude's only 24), they need players in their prime now to maximize Lebron's talent instead of guys like Wiggins who are still more than half a decade away. You don't even know if Wiggins becomes a superstar like Love at this point, the only reason he has high stats is because the Wolves suck and give him possessions no matter what.

In theory, I agree with a lot of your assumptions because the Cavs indeed lost a lot of value in the Love trade. But looking at how things worked out with the Cavs its hard to say they didn't benefit from the deal, it was a gamble that paid off. Knowing what they know now Cavs still do that deal for Love 100/100 times.

    Minnesota wins.

The Cavs could have gotten Love for free, like Golden State did with Durant.

Most important game of Wiggins career so far goes like this:

I guess Cleveland won the trade.

No they wouldn't because Love separated his shoulder that time. Cavs also wouldn't have money to pay Love since they are paying Irving and Lebron and planning to pay Wiggins.

Also I'm pretty sure trading Wiggins was a Lebron move, he didnt want to play PF and he would have no choice because Wiggins was a SF and they had no one at PF.

Just like with Irving, Cavs won the trade.

Cleveland won this trade easily...Andrew Wiggins sucks, and that max deal that the Wolves gave him looks like a regretful decision

The Wolves got straight up robbed in this trade, Love this season has produced more wins than Wiggins' last two seasons.

Cavs won this trade in spades. Wiggins lacks heart and passion. He's one of the biggest teases the NBA has seen in a while.

He was projected to be a Allstar. Next coming of lebron to Cleveland. Blah blah blah. Cavs fans needed to hear that after lebron left them

Except he has talent and supreme athleticism. Desire and effort are the only things preventing WIggins from being an impact player in the NBA on both ends of the floor.

Nobody ever would have heard of Jeff Green if he hadn't been drafted with KD, played with WB and hadn't been Scott Brooks pet player (long story I won't go into) at OKC. His limited upside was pretty obvious by his 2nd year.

Cavs because, theoretically they have won a championship post trade while Minnie is fighting for a playoff position in the West

Yeah cavs got their goal out of that Trade. They wanted a win now team and they got it when they added Love. But im not losing hope with wiggins yet. Maybe he could flourish in another team?

Indeed. At first I thought the Cavs screwed up. I like Love's game but thought he was an odd choice to play next to Tristan Thompson and Lebron. I thought Wiggins would be like having a second Lebron. Imagine having two physical freaks on defense guarding the perimeter. Instead, Wiggins has proven to be unreliable

It has nothing to do with another team, there are very few teams he would do better, Boston, Spurs to name few (and very few), and thats very maybe. The thing is, there are players who don't get spotlight or/and minutes and team role Wiggins has/had, and they still improve/get better/get where they want, he had it easy and still dosent want to get better, players like him are just overhyped to the bone, he is EXTREMELY lazy AND has shitty attitude.

Look at someone like Derozan, dude has had limited offense, but he is improved every SINGLE year because of his work ethic, people thought he can't do this and that and he proved all of them wrong. Wiggins just wants to complain how he dosent get enough touched compared to Butler and KAT (who are both way superior players) and he pouts and does nothing, what a shitty ass player.

I don't think Cavs won the trade by THAT much... many games Love missed this season and last? He definitely aint no rebounding machine like back in his MN days, and his inside/post scoring is almost non existent.

Giving Wiggins a max is going to hurt Min. Its the problem with a lot of franchises. I think that is one thing morey does pretty good. He doesn't give out bad long term contracts.

Jeff green had high upside . He was the number 5 pick in the draft . He hasn't panned out , but it's not because of a lack of physical tools or even skill . For him , what's missing is in between the ears .

I agree with the Wiggins comparison

Cavs won titles with Love. Not sure if they can with Wiggins

    Minny on the other hand...
