I don't think so. This is more of a case of shooting and rebounding slump exposed. Yes other teams are adjusting their tactics but when the highest volume shooters are slumping that is difficult to overcome. While the opposing teams are mitigating our rebounds off of 3's that still doesn't explain the dramatic difference over the last 4 games. Every team has slumps of this type every year.

The overall success level of small ball still remains to be seen.

"I think everybody has got to look in the mirror," Tucker told the media after the Rockets' loss to Orlando on Sunday. "It’s easy to point fingers and say that this guy does this, or we’re not doing this, and everybody has a solution. I think at the end of the day, if everybody takes care of themselves and coaches themselves, then we’ll be fine."

"I think we’re second guessing ourselves a lot of times. There’s no swagger, we’re passing up threes, we’re driving in because we missed so many threes." D'Antoni said postgame. "We need to take the shots. We need to take the threes. Even if we miss it, so be it, but we need to play the way we play."

If the NBA bans live crowds because of COVID-19, it basically gives us homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs.

    Mess fixed.

all the irrelevant, no-name posters only show up after a loss making threads like anyone actually gives a fck about their opinion or respects their basketball IQ

Starts and ends james harden. If he is switched on it makes this team virtually unbeatable but when he pouts and doesn’t give consistent effort it can be damaging to the teams chances. All roads leads back to you’re best player

Man.... we really screwed ourselves with that 4 game losing streak, 3 to **** teams. Had we won those 3? Tied for 3rd. All 4? In 2nd place.

    Instead? Sitting at 6th. Smh.

It's gut-check time for this team. After the Lakers tomorrow night, there are a few winnable (although we can't say that anymore) games followed by a huge road trip. If the ship isn't righted in the next few games, I'd say our chances at a deep playoff run are pretty slim. Hopefully the shooting comes back, which in turn brings back the confidence and swagger. When you're undersized and relying on heart and hustle to win you games, playing timid and second-guessing yourself are death sentences.

either green or gordon has to start. i can't bear anymore to witness house brick wide open 3's in the first quarter.

Lost opportunity, agreed, but no use crying over spilt milk.

4th, even 3rd (if we really want it), is still attainable.

And who knows if Clips or Nugs falter or hit their own slump via injury. 2nd seed is not impossible just improbable.

We struggled against the Wolves! Nothing to be proud of. We are still struggling and this is a team I do not see even making it past the first round. One trick ponies never win. Man I miss me some Rick Adleman and Rudy T.

So defense doesn't have anything to do with this mess?

They also lost to the Knicks, Hornets and Magic. The Hornets and Magic games were A$$ whippings as well.

We also beat the Lakers (49-14), Celtics (43-21), Jazz (41-23), Denver (43-22), Dallas (40-27) with this lineup. We also had a 6 game winning streak before the 4 game slide with this lineup.

We are 1st place in our Division and the WC 6th seed. Yet you call this a "mess"... If the season resumes at some point let's see what happens when there is a bit of lineup consistency then we will know.
