Simple question. You have probably seen it. Flags hanging from windshields above the dash, usualy representing ethnicity/nationality, country of origin or whatever.

When you see this, does it make you mad? Honestly? Do you want to have the car towed? Vandalize the car? Or do you care?

My wife just had an incident in her workplace that got me wondering.

What was the incident in your wife's workplace that involved a foreign flag hanging inside someone's windshield?

Mean to say where she parks for work.

It is my car that has the flag. A man saw it and threatened to have the car towed

Apathetic. That's how I feel. But I feel awesome when it's the American flag.

I have two American flags as well hanging (and ofcourse they are higher than the other flag) from the windshield. Not quite the statement your picture is showing but none the less.

I'm ok with seeing Texas flags around; it doesn't bother my American pride.

It's usually the immigrant's kids that make the difference. A first gen immigrant's life isn't easy. They're automaticaly looked down upon because of their accent and they probably came here without that much money.

They miss their home...so what? If you were born here, you didn't choose to be here. For them, it took a lot of money and effort to get here, and maybe if they're around 10 more years, they'll carry two flags instead of one.

    That's the hope, I guess.

I'm as tolerant as a person can be, but it is generally considered poor etiquette to fly a North Korean flag in public.

People forget what America originally stood for.

Usually it's the same people that cling to their guns, because the forefathers said they could have them.

Serious answer since there's a lot of teasing going on in here:

To me it's not much different than seeing someone driving around with a Denver Broncos bumper sticker. It doesn't offend me, and I can appreciate that people have pride for their country of origin.

I think it's dumb when people get offended when they see other people show pride for their home country/culture. America doesn't have the monopoly on national pride, and it seems pretty arrogant to me to project your own national identity on others.

It's a lot of work, money, and sacrifice to immigrate here, so obviously if you're here in America you're happy to be here regardless of what home team you root for during the Olympics.

On my little street/culdesac of 10 or so houses, mine is the only house who doesn't fly an American flag.

I have put up an SHSU flag on game day and a flag with the House Stark direwolf on Sundays when GoT is airing.

I took down the Stark flag when a neighbor told me it looked like an ISIS flag from a distance. He was right, it kind of did, especially when it was bunched up due to lack of wind.

I can't imagine being offended by a flag on a car unless it was a swastika flag, an SFA flag or an ISIS flag or something like that.

Just curious are you talking about the sun visor people put in the windshield when parked.

As far as flags go I could honestly care less simply because I have more important things to worry about.
