I just heard the news that Yao will be out the rest of the season due to a stress fracture in his foot. To be totally honest, I felt my heart actually sink when I heard that. I have a lump in my throat and my day just turned black. This is such a sad day to be a Rockets fan. Not only did our chance of winning a championship shrink down to almost nothing, but this is terrible news for Yao. The foot problems are doing their part to destroy this mans career. I am very worried that with this news he is on his way down the path of Bill Walton.
Unless our depression is a Game Action Roster Move kinda thing, I think this belongs here. We help each other when were down sometimes kick each other too, but we all go through these things together.
The legacy of Yao & Tracy: First round exits and injuries. Suck it up people. Just deal with what you can't change. Easier said than done but it's what you gotta do.
I just read this and found out this news in this thread. I cannot believe it. Yao is officially an injury bust. I'm so sick of the injuries to Tracy and Yao that I don't give a crap what happens with the Rockets any more. These guys cannot stay healthy for the life of them. This whole season is a waste. Tracy might as well retire or be traded. Every damn year...it's the same damn thing...injury this or injury that. Going forward...we need a team that is way more balanced and isn't dependent on one or two stars who can't stay healthy...cause this ***** is old.
Seriously, I haven't felt this bad since my grandfather died. My heart just completely sinked after I saw that thread. Now I have to find a corner to cry a little........
man...... wtf....... man........ even though yao is out, our rookies and new additions MIGHT get the job done its motivation guys, dont give up yall, have faith, and still love your rockets, cheer them on, hope they make the playoffs, and support their winning ways
My thoughts exactly. I was thinking last night how it was odd that Yao hadn't been injured yet this season and now this great news.
There's no coping with this.. you just gotta live with the pain. Anyone else not going to the GARM till the season is over? That place just makes my stomach sick now.
That's exactly what I mentioned in the GARM. Z didn't get a full season in until he passed his prime. All the fun has been sucked out of this NBA season now...and this looks like one of the best in recent years.
