I just hope the wet stuff falls where it can fill up the damned lakes here in Central Texas. My yard's enjoying it. I hope the top soil doesn't wash away. There's little enough in most of Southwest Austin, with what's in my yard being put there thanks to $$. I miss that aspect of Houston. Lush green lawns. Rain when you need it, more often than not. You don't need a backhoe to plant a small tree. Austin is highly unpredictable. You can go months with not much rain at all, and then get 6" in a day, all in the wrong place to fill the damned lakes.
Wow, what a jyx thread. It has been raining since you made this thread and it will continue to rain until The frinday after next.
Well, Deckard, heard that as of yesterday afternoon Lake Buchanan was up 4 whole inches!!! Wooooohoooooo
I loved it until I tried to go to work yesterday and 149 was closed due to flooding. Took me 2 hours to get to work. It is nice that its pretty mild outside.
I think it's rained more in the nearly 7 months I've been back in the Houston area than in the 15 years I lived in Austin.
