Setting career highs in FG%, 3P%, and PP36. Awesome signing by Daryl "Jesus" Murray. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/delfica01.html
He has been great. Just having someone willing to take shots on this team is important. And that he's shooting over 40% from 3 makes him mighty. Spoiler Sell high?
What I find amazing about the Delfino signing is Daryl was able to take a player (Chase Budinger), flip him for a first round pick (Terrence Jones), then actually replace Budinger with what has amounted to an upgrade in a low-cost, low-risk signing. Well played.
What I find hilarious is that when Lin, Harden or Parsons is struggling with a defensive assignment. McHale puts Delfino on the opposing player. Deron Williams and Dirk are two notables I remember him defending recently lol.
No grown man, or man for that matter, should call him Del-fine-O. With that being said, I'll stick to Delfino, or Del-3-No!
how about Carlos Beef-a-ree-no? Spoiler <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ugazcvzOM0Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
What surprised me most about Delfino is his defense. Seriously, he plays extremely good defense and man on man defense. In fact I'm going to say he defends a lot of players better than Parsons.
Morey needs to win some more awards....look at every player this year. Rebuilding year and he manages to pull all of this together. GM of the year. Look at other team GMs and we all seriously should be very thankful.
Parsons has sucked defensively this season, dude can't box-out a kitten. Aminu terrorised Asik and Hornets were always 1v3. Dallas with Marion is another that comes to mind he had his way with Parsons. Watch some tape and you'll see Parsons gets bullied or lost on the regular when contesting defensive boards. He gambles too much as well, trying to run down the court just assuming Asik will get the board. Delfino is a vood defender but it's sad that people here think he's borderline elite simply because their point of comparison is Harden or Parsons. I'd give Harden a half pass for being the number one option but Parsons has been piss weak defensively.
It's like he's taken the ultimate step and has mastered his form, I find it's very consistent and I hope it's permanent though I know he's very streaky. Also, he could run away with the prize in the 3 point shooting contest this year, they need to make that happen.
