Designed by, not happening. But operated by?

Definitely. Just like the old times at Astroworld.

So, they’re selling tickets for a park that hasn’t been built yet?

The tickets are for the water park and ropes course only - NOT the amusement park. Also, this is Grand Texas..not Earthquest Adventures - it’s a different company/set of investors all together. The water park construction is actually underway with the lazy river and wave pool near completion, and the pieces of the first slides have been delivered as of last week. It’s set for a late June opening.

The East Montgomery County Improvement District is inviting the public to be their guest for a FREE sneak peek of the Gator Bayou Adventure Park in New Caney.

Since breaking ground in December 2017 where the Gator Bayou Adventure Park and the Big Rivers Waterpark will call home, a flurry of activities has taken place to make the parks a reality.

The East Montgomery County Improvement District (EMCID) will showcase these developments by opening the park to the community, for free, on Saturday. Nov. 3, hosting Sneak Peek at Gator Bayou. The park will be open from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.

"Gator Bayou Adventure Park is a year-round park; what better way to showcase everything the park has to offer than renting it out and inviting everyone to come to take a sneak peek," said Kelley Mattlage, chief communications officer for EMCID. "This is a great opportunity to get the word out that Gator Bayou Adventure Park will open soon. Guests will also have the chance to see the progress on Big Rivers Waterpark which is anticipated to open in the spring."

Thrill seekers are invited to join in the fun and experience the Gator Bayou Adventure Park with free admission, free parking and free adventures.

For free, guests will enjoy the zip lines, the 70-foot free fall, the obstacle course situated on a spring-fed lake, the petting zoo, pony rides, the Mystic Forest Maze, rock climbing and a visit with the park's small alligators.

A few adventures such as the Raccoon Run, the Eagle Challenge, Big Rock Mining and bait for fishing are pay-to-play.

Additionally, the Big Red BBQ Smokehouse will be open to serve food. EMCID also invited Taco Flores, Top Hat Catering and Not So Naughty Crepes to also provide additional food options for guests. The park's beer garden will also be operational for guests 21 years old and older.

"We believe everyone will really enjoy the Gator Bayou Adventure Park; there are activities for the whole family," said Mattlage. "EMCID wanted to present this free event to provide a day of fun for everyone and so they can see what activities are at Gator Bayou Adventure Park. We want all of our guests to have a great time as we look forward to enjoying this day with our community, too."

The occupancy of the park is 5,000 which means park staff will halt admission to the park if it reaches capacity; no one will be allowed to enter until other guests exit the park.

Free parking for Sneak Peek at Gator Bayou Adventure Park will be available at Gate 2, and for those dropping off or picking up, Gate 1 will be open.

Gator Bayou Adventure Park is located at 23101 Highway 242 in New Caney.

I was fired for insubordination. Apparently even Astroworld had standards back in the day...

Weather for that day shows a high of 63 degrees. That's going to be some chilly water for that obstacle course on the lake

This GIF is classic. The guy getting his beer spilled is amazing. It is like someone killed his dog. He is so defeated and confused.
