I hardly ever promote shows, not even my own, but for the first time in years "Houston's Funniest Person" is a real competition. This thing has been going on for the last 20 years or so and not since the 90's has there been such talent on stage. The last semi final round will be Sunday night at Baker Street Pub in Rice Village, and the finals will be Wednesday night at The House of Blues. If you like stand-up you'll love these shows. http://houstoncomedyunion.wordpress.com/
Hey Billy, Matthew Broussard is a friend of mine. I gave him a bit idea and I hope he uses it if he hasn't already.
I saw that guy live about 6 weeks ago. He should have been the headliner. My family and I were just talking last night about how funny that dude was and that we wanted to see him live again. He's going places for sure.
Shouts out to my boy Owen Dunn, who went to my highschool Saint Pius the Tenth. I was a freshman, he was a senior. Cool story 4 sho brah .q
Grand Finale of the Houston's Funniest Person Contest starts at 9 pm tonight at House of Blues. Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased at the door. Just sayn. And, YES, Owen Dunn and Matthew Broussard will be there and they are FUNNY!
Definitely a great time, a lot better than i expected. The Matthew guy won the competition; rightfully so. Everyone was actually funny. The crowd was eh because they didn't react to a lot of funny material. Billy D with the Rodney king jokes was hella funny... cool stuff
If he was a senior when you were a freshman, wouldn't you simply subtract three years from when you graduated?
shouts out to my main man Bobrek, who also went to Saint Pius the Tenth and my boy Kubes aka Texans head coach
I was curious. We have a couple of friend's kids that may have graduated about the same time. As a matter of fact one of the kids is visiting us this weekend. Kubiak was a freshman when I was a senior. He played on the varsity basketball team when I did.
