Solar, wind, geothermal & tidal could not supplement an entire Texas-worth of electric vehicles. If one really wants that then the best option for more power is to buck all recent energy trends and go with more nuclear.

I would personally love to see more public transportation in the form of trains; but it can't be on the existing METRO models I have seen. We'd need heavier, elevated rail coming in from Katy, Cypress, Kingwood, Sugar Land, Pearland, etc. to take those cars off of the system. Yes, that does mean that we need more light rail inside the city; but those should be elevated as well.

I've posted on it many times in the debate forum, although it is hard to read as it is littered with trolls.

It was already developed in the 70s but never implemented because of lobbying from O&G. There is no doubt the answer is consuming less overall, but electric has more options than gas which emits CO2 from every angle.

Electric cars charging up at night is cheaper and more efficient because electric grid demand is far less and power plants sometimes burn for nothing just to stay idle until the morning.

What it doesn't solve are problems related to driving one car for every other person, traffic congestion, poor zoning, expensive highway infrastructure

Aside from the ridiculousness of ending meat consumption., the most tenuous part of this is probably linking individual weather events to more (or less) global warming, of course you being a racist turd doesn't really help.
