That's what I thought when he was behind Patterson, but after the trade, he was playing behind guys he looked better than when they played in the SAME summer leagues and DLeague.

Oh well, just glad he's seeing the floor now.

I think Jones can be a nice specialty player in the league, that big off the bench that provides energy. But I have a feeling he's already near his peak like Patterson, unless he can change that hideous jump shot of his.

He's on the scouting reports now, and they're going to give him all the space he wants. Eager to see him play against Aldridge(Injured?) and the Blazers.

Wrk ethic only applies when you actually go to work, Royce doesn't --- he's at home tweeting.

Remember DMo's first start was pretty impressive too.

donte was not that bad... he actually was a rotational player
TWill was a talent, taken 11th I think.... he just blew it with Twitter, short temper....most importantly with the coaches

Twill could have done it easily and he is still not done

TJones has played 7,8 games of Summer League, 20+ RVG games and 12 RS games.... about 40 games

Overall he was good, had a couple of bad games but he is a fine prospect

Yup... I was one of those fans who were so impressed with DMo the first few
games that I think he is going to be future star player. I just think he lost his
confidence in himself, but he is still young will learn his way around.

Jones looked good in tonight's game, let's see how long he can keep it up.

I still prefer DMo, though he may be a better fit for 2nd unit, provided that he's the focal point on offense. He's been too hesitant lately, passing the ball when he should be attacking the rim. I feel that he's got the skillset to call out for the ball more in the post.

That's why I said its just a feeling, not a fact lol. No evidence whatsoever. I do think its funny tho that Smith is all of a sudden no longer in the picture. Just don't be hard on him when inevitably goes through struggles, kneejerks

It is all good, my man. Part of the fun here on CF is to poke holes on poster's comments. Besides, the Rockets are very close in locking up a playoff spot, magic number now at 3. That number will decrease very rapidly if we continue to win and Utah loses a couple of more games, hopefully sooner than later so that we can rest Harden.

All these young PFs did well in a few games and then faded because the opposing teams didn't gameplan against them on their scouting reports when they didn't know if they would play. If they knew they would play, that's a different story.

    Just saying.

We should trade everybody and revolve the team around Terrance Jones. I've already bought my Jones jersey.

Very impressive, I must say. Let's hope he will keep producing, we need consistency badly and with our PFs either not scoring or not rebounding, Jones could be the man! For those who said he looked like Landry, he does in the sense that he gets rebounds you do not expect him to get and attacks the rim all the time.

He was hitting his outside jumpers in the D-League. Don't know why that wouldn't translate to the NBA .... unless it's just a confidence or trust issue with the coach ... i.e. coach telling him not to shoot jumpers.

Because the speed and pace is different in the NBA.

Every little thing can affect a shot, that's why the best shooters in the NBA their shot is automatic...same motion the exact same time...

And every one of those guys...Ray, Miller, Bird...would just practice their jumpshot until it's pretty much the same motion.

It usually is the NBA is so fast players will rush shots and it can be confidence too and after being on the bench for so long a player is worried that his next missed shot could be the last one he takes. Shooting just has to be natural. For D-Mo, Robinson, Jones...all these guys the more they play the more it will come.

Patterson wasn't always draining those jumpers, that came with playing time at the NBA level.
