Not sure if this has been created, but just wondering, once we are finished with this TT line up experiment (not looking good so far), who do you think we should try in our starting lineup?

Perhaps try Greg Smith with Howard instead of Asik? Greg Smith seems to be able to be better offensively downlow than Asik.

    Dwight Howard
    Greg Smith
    Chandler Parsons
    James Harden
    Lin/PB

    What do you think?

Doesn't solve the problem of the lane being clogged

    It should be
    Pg harden
    Sg brewer
    Sf parson
    Pf omri
    Dwight

I actually would like to see Brewer in the starting lineup. Harden don't care if he's getting double or triple teamed, it all ends in ISO, at least we'll have a little more defense on the other side. Heck, let's experiment a little more, move in D-Mo and Garcia.

    Motiejunas
    Garcia
    Dwight
    Brewer
    Harden

    Bench:
    Casspi/Smith/Jones
    Parsons
    Asik
    Beverley/Brooks
    Lin

    Dwight
    Casspi
    parsons
    Harden
    Lin/Bev

This was the line up when we blew out the Mavs in the first quarter (because Asik sat on after playing for 52 secs)... why can't we try it again?

Brewer belongs no where in the starting line up.

I know this is sacrilege, but I actually think Parsons should be benched. He is NOT playing smart/intelligently/unselfishly, which is actually his greatest strength. Even if he were making threes at a higher rate (say 33-35%), his overdribbling (especially in the backcourt), ballstopping, and attempts to "show off" the improvements he made to his game in the offseason have really hurt the Rockets. I don't know how many times I have seen him dribble in the backcourt instead of giving it to Lin (I know I'm a huge Lin fan, but the guy is by far the best guy we have to run the break--his speed, finishing ability, and passing combination are one of the deadliest in the NBA).

Listen, there may be an appropriate time for Parsons to bring the ball up from the midcourt, but that probably occurs once every game or two (or three), and you have to use your best judgment. He is way overestimating his own abilities.

As to who to start in Parsons place? I would like Lin but would be fine with Brewer, Casspi, or Garcia as well (or maybe even DMo for kicks in a crazy triple towers lineup--look at my sig).

Let Dwight start but don't let him finish cuz his FT sucks like hell. He burned us last game.

Defend Gasol like that for the next few years I'd be ok with his bad but still improved FT %

Starting Lin may make the TT better, but he need more possession.

Harden can't be the primary ball handler.
He turns the ball over a lot, even worse than Lin.

If the Twin Tower don'r work, they should play DMO.

    Bev.'s D is overrated.
He is inexperienced and too short to guard shooters.

He has great energy but his body and skill is not enough.
Coming off the bench for 1X minutes is the best for the team.

Can we play five on and five off?

    First unit:Harden, D12,Bev,caspi,Parsons
Second unit: JLin, Garcia, Asik, DMo, GSmith

Each unit will share half of the time.

Not sure if this has been posted in one of the other threads, but I found it in reddit...
The +/- of the 7 most used lineups so far (which I know isn't the biggest sample size).

    Notables
-The 2 TT lineups were -12.3 and -24.3
-The worst lineup with a -24.3 was the only lineup without Lin
-The best lineup with +46.7 was Francisco, Harden, Howard, Lin and Chandler

Brewer is buried so deep on the bench that even Donatas can't see him.

    Harden
    Beverley

    Asik
    D-Mo
    Casspi
    Garcia
    JLin

As D-Mo fan I think he is better than TJones, but with players like Parsons, Harden and DH he wouldn't get chance to fulfil his scoring potential. I really liked what I have seen in one of pre-season games, when JLin, Casspi and D-mo were on the floor. I would like to see that second unit playing together in nba game.

Nice...if I had to put my bet...it's going to be hard. Both of those teams could be > .500 NBA starting teams.

All, while I think most of us agree that the TT line-up is not working, I'm afraid we maybe stuck with it until Morey gets a deal for Asik he likes.

This feels a lot like last year when we were playing guys to drive their value up so that he could make a deal.

Frankly, I think we have great depth and bringing Asik off the bench or starting him only against big teams (Mem, San, etc.) would make sense. I like Omri off the bench as an energy guy and would look hard at DMo or TJ in the starting line-up. Each offer different strengths and weaknesses, and could start depending on the match-up. These kinds of rotations early in the season would help us see which match-ups work best and allow us to adjust later in the season. It would also give all of these guys more playing time to help them develop and strengthen the depth of our team as we head into the play-offs.
