If I were in this draft class I would have been praying I won't be picked at 12, 16 and 18. Here is a list of talent the rockets either stunted their growth or completely destroyed their careers while playing asset collection 1. Aaron Brooks: A guy does not go from MIP season to bust. He got injured bleeding Red why dump the guy in such a callous manner. He should have been managed better. His contract situation could have been managed better. 2. Terrence Williams: Almost two NBA seasons and barely averaged 1 min 3. Jermain Taylor: Read Twill above 4. Joey Dorsey 5. Marcus Morris: A damn lottery pick and maybe better than anything we traded Lowry for. We may wind up with #14 from Toronto in a draft class that isn't deep. 6. Carl Landry: From 6th man of the year contention to 7. Trevor Ariza: This dude will regret choosing the rockets over the Lakers 8. Jared Jeffries: OK maybe young is a stretch but the rockets almost sent this guy to back water league in europe. Thank God the knicks knew he could play Near Misses 1. Jeremy Lin: Thanks his lucky stars every night he wasn't a rocket cause he won't have cracked the rotation cause the great third PG ahead of him. Cant remember his name anymore lol...
lets just ignore all the players we took and made them into legit NBA players. Anyways Sactown ruined Landry, not us.
Hopefully this thread dies soon. Yeah because everyone you named is sooooo talented. How could the Rockets have ruined them?? They were all bound to be superstars.
AB and Landry made a living in this league because of Rockets, if they wasn't in Houston, they prob won't even crack into rotation. TWilliams, Taylor and Dorsey never cracked any team's rotation, Morris is still remain to be seen. Jeremy Lin is a special case, his success had everything going his way (injury, D'Antonie's pick&roll system, no melo), a great sports story, but you can't blame on Rockets not picking him up.
Shiet Ared Efferies. Why stop there What about David Andersen, could've been MVP if it weren't for the Rockets What about Brian Cook, dude was a 7'0 beast that could rain three like no tomorow, ****ing talent died with the Rockets.
Although I don't like starting threads unless It's about RRRrRrRrrrrronnnndooooo, TOOL, or the wire... I kind of agree with all that said....-but it isn't our fault asset management is like a contract year every year for a specific important position, this the contract year is to me the ultimate VARIABLE in this scheme...brooks (contract year)-ariza (got paid bc of playoffs during a contract year) -Lowry (contract year, but worked his ass off to get starting spot which Was never secure sooo...he kept fighting.)- Landry (contract year)- your other scrubs well JT (Jonathan. Taylor Thomas) he looked alright. Oh and ISH smith could dish the rock better than all the PGs
OP ,I thought you left to go be an oklahomer fan ? GTFO already http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=222455
Dude, shut up. Just shut up, seriously. The amount of stupid coming out of this post is astounding. You seriously think it is Houston's fault that these C level starters/bench players didn't flourish here? What makes you think they would have gotten a chance on a team with way better players? It's their fault they suck. Maybe they didn't push themselves hard enough! You're an idiot.
Everyone in this thread needs to take a chill pill..seriously. Just because you disagree with someone's opinion , it doesn't give you the right to call the OP r****ded..
1. Aaron Brooks: Guy gets injured, comes back and forces his play and then walks out on the team in the 4th quarter. Lowry also came out while he was injured. 2. Terrence Williams: Obviously had problems on the court, and it was pretty ****ing visible too. Him just standing around the three point line asking for the ball so he could force his way into the paint and miss is not something a coach wants. Also was a headcase at different points, I still like this guy though. Bud was a more consistent performer. 3. Jermaine Taylor: Wasn't even considered to be close to any solid rotational player anyway. 4. Joey Dorsey: Read Jermaine because Joey does not play well at all. 5. Marcus Morris: Parsons came out ready to play and played better than Morris. How do I know? HE STARTED THE REST OF THE SEASON OVER BUD. 6. Carl Landry: From 6th man of the year contention to being traded for Martin. This was a no brainer at that time, of course we freaking wanted Martin. 7. Trevor Ariza: He might regret it, but he might also regret the hundreds of bricks he threw up while he was with us. 8. Jared Jeffries: Not even young. Here's what I've gathered from OP's observations.
