The buck eventually has to stop somewhere. It will stop with the GM first, then the owner....many times the coach as well, but not in this situation. We could have traded Kyle and Scola for Gasol. We could have gotten Kaman. Maybe we still do both of these. We could get Okafor and a pick, etc. The bottom line is that the team needs a new direction. I love Kyle, but we are not in a position to build a contender around him without a major star coming in, which is seeming more and more unlikely. So we may have to trade him to get an already All Star to build around. Daryl is in charge of trades right now, even if Les has to sign off. So it's his fault if we do nothing significant with all the "assets" he has been accumulating.
At the deadline Houston makes One deal. Jonny Flynn to Cleveland for a future 2nd round top 55 protected draft pick.
LOL..that would suck! I would be so disappointed. I really want Morey to succeed, but if that's all he gets done, I'm definitely off the bandwagon for him until he does something SIGNIFICANTLY better. If this is all he gets done, I will say he is finished and has made Houston an undesirable destination for many reasons.
AWESOME… so we will finish the #8 or #9 seed and draft at #14 or #15 AGAIN… i would have rather tanked one of these last 3 seasons and had a shot at one top 5 pick than this crap..
It's hard to compete against a deal that includes Monte Ellis. He's better than anyone on our team. BTW, Magic PC is on now. Dwight is there too.
