I love Camby. I always wanted him for Yao's backup. He is a great guy to have around if your grooming a young center. Plus Camby makes up for Scola's shortcomings even more so than Dalembert. Good aquisition but not exactly what I had in mind for blockbuster deal. Oh and did I mention he loves Houston!
I'm sure Camby loves the trade. He just built a huge azz house in Pearland this summer. So i'm sure he will like playing at home.
Camby is an expiring worth about 11 mil. Only giving up Thabeet and Flynn makes me think there's another deal coming?
OK, Portland gets a second round pick too. Makes more sense on their end. Portland has an eye on the future (as they should), while we're desperately trying to make the playoffs.
We have to much depth in the front court... Luis Scola, Patrick Patterson, Jordan Hill, Greg Smith, Dalembert, Camby Smith probably goes back down to the D-league, but it leaves Jordan Hill as the odd man out.
