Amen and amen. I don't like the "dumpster diving" strategy, at all. Morey is a "god" on this board, but some of his moves just don't make sense. I know, we are not worthy. He is playing three-dimensional chess. Yeah right. If anybody needed to be signed, it was a BIG.
D-Mo is not Mehmet Okur. That’s like saying Terrence Jones is Carlos Boozer. Mehmet Okur played 10 seasons, was at one point an all star, and averaged 18 and 9 at his peak. He also shot .375 from 3-point range for his career. D-Mo was an oft-injured part-time starter who only played 248 games over 5 seasons and who couldn’t stay on the court long enough to develop. He was also a “3pt shooting big” who only shot .300 from 3-point range. I wish him all the best, but based on past history, I don’t see why we should assume he will now become an amazing NBA player.
Presti came onto clutchfans and saw someone post that Juwan Evans gave Harden trouble, figured we’re a likely first round match up and picked him up. We have the power on here.
Yeah, that is why I said...an Okur-like player, would be outstanding to have one that good, but any big that can play some D, rebound and shoot the 3ball would be helpful. DD
Best GM in the biz. Two years straight where we are THE ONLY team that has a chance to beat GSW. Suck it weenies...
The St Louis Cardinals are stalking Jeff Luhnow, the same way Sam Presti is stalking Daryl Morey. After the James Harden trade years ago, how many sleepless nights, nightmares has Sam Presti had, even being eliminated by James Harden in the playoffs. Keeping James Harden in OKC meant keeping Kevin Durant happy in OKC, keeping him in OKC. Instead of inefficient Russell Westbrook, Paul George is half of what Kevin Durant is.
