Rockets on pace to the best offense in NBA history after a blowout win against a top 5 defensive team in the Spurs! http://bkref.com/tiny/gqLtp
30th straight game scoring at least 20 points, broke Moses' team record #MVPJIM I wonder what the NBA record is...
I had no clue that the 94-95 Magic were such an offensive juggernaught, holy **** did Hakeem shut their asses down.
We broke them mentally with that incredible game 1. Who knows what would've happened if they had won that...
Warrior Kryptonite The Rockets are currently averaging 9 TO a game in their last 10(Number 1 in NBA). OKC 2nd (Warriors are 29th for year) The Rockets are 2nd in Total Defensive Rebounding %.. OKC 1st in Offensive Rebounding % The Rockets are 8th in Advanced Defensive Metrics..OKC 5th in Advanced Defensive Metrics These key numbers are what this team does well that provides a bad matchup for GSW in the playoffs. The Rockets are not going to out shoot GSW, but they sure can play better defense and put up more shots. 10/17 Hou vs GSW W Hou-97 shots FT 19 TO 12 GSW-80 Shots FT 21 TO 17 1/4 GSW vs Houston L(No Harden or Durant) Hou-89 shots FT 22 TO-10 GSW-87 shots FT 20 TO-12 1/20 GSW vs Houston W Hou-87 shots FT 36 TO 18 GSW-82 shots FT 37 TO 24 ......................................................................................................... 11/22 OKC vs GSW OKC-90 shots GSW-80 shots 2/7 GSW vs OKC OKC-93 shots GSW-77 shots OKC and Houston in a 7 game series can exploit GSW by lower TO's and rebounding % per defensive or offensive. Both are elite at gaining or retaining possession(This is also precisely why OKC will always struggle against Houston). You simply don't out shoot GSW. You simply shoot MORE than them. When Houston is hitting threes and playing defense, who is the real Juggernaut?
Houston entered this week with the NBA's best clutch point differential (plus-48) despite playing the fewest clutch minutes (82), as defined by the score being within five points in the final five minutes of the game. Rockets 108, opponents 59 is the cumulative score in just 31 clutch minutes that Harden and Paul have played together, according to ESPN Stats & Information. The Rockets' offensive efficiency in that time: 161.7 points per 100 possessions. Those remarkable numbers make Harden and Paul the most prolific closing 1-2 punch of the more than 5,700 duos who have played at least 30 clutch minutes together since the start of the 2007-08 season, as far back as ESPN Stats & Information's access to on-court/off-court data reaches.
Anyone know the stats for houston to clinch a playoff berth. Since they have 50 Wins, I guess it takes who ever in the 8th seed that night and say if thunder, nuggets, clippers which ever team has the worse record and say if clippers have 33, and then nuggets finally get there 33 lost, im assuming houston will clinch a playoff birth since they cant get worse 32 losses right if they lose out?
nah, the rockets have always won 33 of 34 in the regular season, this is the exact same rockets team as last season /s
Rockets offensive rating is now 116.0, on pace to smash the NBA best all time record! http://bkref.com/tiny/krMyu
