Co-sign all of this 100%. The funny thing about lamb is I'm no scout but you could see he had an NBA game from the beginning. I've been right/wrong on rookies every year but anyone who can shoot off of screens like he can should be AT LEAST a decent scorer in the league. He's going to be a more athletic version of rip hamilton with more range imo. Rivers can't play the one so NO messed up from jump with that. He has the capability but doesn't have the mindset and making him play the one will take away from what he does best. I think beal and lamb will EASILY be the best 2 sg's out of this draft and if lamb attacks the hole and bulks up I see him being the best.

Lol you don't know that mayne. Actually, nobody does at this point. It could go either way... Although, that's a tough goal to accomplish.

i can confidently say that we stop the confidently sayings for the sake of confidence of the users in the confidence of the BBS and the confidence of Clutch Fans in general. Statistically speaking, I am highly confident in my 95% confidence level of this confident assertion. I am confident that nobody has enough confidence to dismay the confidence in this confident assertion.

I'm too lazy to do it but I'd love it if someone made a list of players who killed it in the summer league(stats included) who aren't doing *hit in the league. If SL was an early indicator of player success Marcus Banks would be a top 10 pg....

The Rockets have their very own Kevin Cato as a SL stud-to-dud example.

I'd like to see a list of teams that had all 5 rookies go stud to dud. My guess is, you won't find one.

I am confident in my own confidence that Reeko, with confidence, is confidently hating on the rookies.

Wow. Bold statement. Nobody can see the future. Not saying that it will happen, but at the same time I am not like you saying that it will NEVER happen. Really who knows.

Top 10-15?? Askin a bit much there! I don't even think The Brow will be top 10-15 until half the Daydream Team retires

i think he will. looking at how he looks with the Team USA, he doesn't look like a rookie there.
They need to give all of Tyson Chandler's minutes to him, Brow's better.
I think he's a top 10-15 player by the time his rookie contract ends. Baring any injuries.

Btw, CP3 needs to do a 180 and sign with the Hornets during the summer. Wouldn't it be awesome.

It's not a diss to the rookies as much as it's a wake up call to those who don't understand that Dwight Howard is a top 10 player in the NBA. He's proven, 26 and can be had. The rookies have history against them when it come to becoming Stars. Any of them.

It should put our 3 rookies in perspective. I love the rooks but I'm preparing for Morey to dump every young player on this team for Howard and another All-star player. If it doesn't happen It's cool too. Just preparing folks.

So in other words, don't bother(to an extent) projecting these guys' success on their stats from summer league

church!!! Preciate that drop so much. Like I said, Marcus Banks is exhibit A but look at all those players who put up big numbers. Now some of them were written off immediately but guys like anthony randolph were hyped up big time based off of there SL performances. This is NOT TO SAY that i don't like our rooks AT ALL, just wanted to let you guys know slow down on the overhyping of our guys after 5 SL games...

Anthony Randolph was hyped up for many more reasons than the SL.
the SL was just a drop in a sea.

great summer league stats doesn't mean you will be great in the nba.

but crappy stats and crappy play in summer league basically can mean that you will be even crappier in the NBA

I think some of you are making things out to be too black and white. Summer league is part of the evaluation process. Similar to OTAs in football or A-ball play in baseball. It does give some sort of an indication, but also hardly the only thing one should consider.

In the end, it's up to the Rockets scouts and coaches to gleam information from their play for future references. I doubt the actual PPG/RPG/APG matters as much as the way they went about it.

It just hit me that all of our 2012 draftees ended their college careers against each other.
Royce and Iowa St. ended Lamb and UCONN's run only to be ousted by Jones and Kentucky in the next game.:)
