But if anything, AL Horford will give us great leadership and a great defensive anchor. Capela is the type of player that has to be directed everytime up the floor on both offense and defense. Also the spacing would be tremendous.

To answer everyone’s question I’m going to break down how Houston can acquire both Al Horford and Jimmy Butler.
Let me first respond to those asking “with what cap”?? Easy, you don’t need cap space to sign a player!! There’s many ways to get a deal done and go over the salary cap to make moves which is why Tilman was trying to avoid the luxury tax, but that’s a conversation for another day.
1- Jimmy Butler would HAVE to pick up his option at $20 million so that Houston can sign and trade for him. It will cost EG and Nene but for Jimmy I would do it.
2- Houston has to move Capela to make room for Horford. At this point Horford is looking to win more so than money. Only way Houston affords Horford is if he takes a 3yr ~$50 million with his 1st year beating around $15 million.
This would unlock our NT-MLE ($9 million), full MLE, and a couple 2-way deals.

When's the last time Morey acquired a star in his prime and not just a washed-up one? Harden is probably the only one.

Marc has good games and bad games against the GSW. Seems familiar. He was horrible in the game 6 win. Three of his games had game scores of 2.2, 8.8 and 3.2.

The 2.2 and 3.2 are both worse than Clint’s worst game against the GSW. And oh yeah the Warriors were more injured. And of course most importantly they were playing next to Pascal Siakam and Kawhi Leonard.

Serge is still a very good player who came off the bench against the Warriors bad and turned horrible bench with depletion.

If the Rockets has Siakam starting at PF... me thinks maybe they have a ring right now and we’re celebrating Clint.

I’m not saying don’t move Clint. He’s a positive asset so maybe you can get value for him.

I’m just not in love with Horford ... even though I like Horford. Just in terms of value for what you’re trading and his new contract.

According to espn, GS don’t exist.

Horford can pass, defend, and space floor.

I’m just not sold on the concept that the offense needs more spacing. It’s about as spaced an offense as there is.

I also don’t see Capela needing direction defensively.

    Harden pretty clearly pre-prime...

Dwight and Chris both post prime for certain.

Difference is, imho, Dwight believed he was some combo of dream and shaq. Chris Paul has to know he’s #2 at this point in his career.

He also did not get Harden in his prime, he bet on a 22-23 yr old and he got it right.

Technically Harden was a rising star.

Morey : 'We knew that James was talented but I never would have imagined that he would become the best Offensive player of Alltime, or at least in the conversation.'

Dude, that was less than a decade ago. You think stars in their prime just grow on trees?

    Infants man jeez...

Coming up: Another aging player on a bad contract.

    I can't wait. Yay.

Mmmh pretty sure the Clippers would be forced to dump Gallo if this is the contract they're going to give him...or let go at least one between Pat and Green.

That does not speak to a S&T scenario.

Capela is a much better rebounder, shot blocker, pick and roll defender, and is younger and on a better contract than Al Horford. This trade would result in a conga line of layups and dunks, and a ton of offensive rebounds.
