To all those interested in seeing h-town's summer league scene you gotta get to Fonde to see the daytime show. It's been going on for a couple of weeks but today it was a who's who of area pros including Rashard Lewis, Damon Jones, Cadillac Anderson, Tim Breaux, Ansu Sesay, Moses Malone Sr. & Jr., Cuttino Mobley & Sam Cassel stopped by earlier in the day and other former UH notables included Willie Byrd, Tim Moore, Byron Smith, Kenyon ?, Kurt Flood and on and on.

A must see if you are in Houston, summer basketball in Houston is heating up!

Lately Houston has become a Mecca for basketball players during the offseason , Westside tennis club has made it easier for all this guys to come down here and stay in good shape during the offseason . Not only that I hear they like "banging" with some of the Commets ... what ever that means [IMG]

Westside is a bigger NBA place after the Comets season is over in August and September. Right now, Fonde is the spot. It has always been awesome there. I remember when Malone, Olajuwon and Murphy used to play pick up there. Awesome.

The Houston Press once said about Fonde that it is the best basketball court in the city and "yes, players are scouted there and no, you can't play." [IMG]

What ever happened to Tim Moore? I thought he would be a Bo Outlaw or Darvin Ham type player, someone who would come in undrafted and just husstle his way on to the court. I watched one game where the guy had the greatest dunk I have ever seen. I think it was Goldwire who threw up a three from the corner and bricked it and Tim cut through the lane and jumped too early, but he brought his hand back behind his @$$ and just threw it down. It was simply amazing that one dunk was better than anything MJ 'Nique or Clyde threw down in there careers and thats a big statement, but a dunk does not make a career so....

To answer the question regarding Cadillac, I got a chance to talk to him today and he says he is clear of everything and ready to make a run in the NBA next season. He looked out of shape but very active for a man his size, he stated that he was on a water & fruit only diet to lose 20 - 25 pounds before training camp. A great guy who has made some dumb decisions in his life but looking to get back on track.

Mango: 0 he barely stayed with the Hawks his last year if I remember correctly and that was a few years ago. I always liked the guy but the likelyhood of him making it back when his frat bothers are retiring after long and illustrious carreers is just too small.
