He's a youngster who got a little shook in his first playoff experience... if you look at his production over the year... he's worth holding onto...

Didn’t say he wasn’t worth holding onto. They should when they’re going to have to fill out the bench

His regular season catch and shoot numbers were tremendous. Defense pretty good most of the time. His offensive game in general looked like it would benefit from some polishing.

For what is likely to be close to a minimum salary, you must keep this guy. Can't afford to let go of people who can give good minutes in the regular season for the minimum.

I look forward to seeing his playoff numbers improve with a full season of NBA experience.

    That's not a plan B, that's a plan J or K.

Not always true. Recent examples of big RFA deals where an offer sheet was matched.

    Zach LaVine (four years, $80,000,000).
    Allen Crabbe (four years,$75,000,000).
    Tyler Johnson (four years, $50,000,000).

Being able to keep Rivers and House on minimums would be very nice. It’s hard to tell what the market will be like though.

Collision retiring and Miortic going to Spain just opened up an additional 20+ mill in cap around the league to be spent.

Have a feeling no one is going to give House any big money.

I'd prefer to hang on to our MLE and give House the vet minimum. I'd like to keep him, but we have a lot of needs. Guess it'll depend on what he's offered. That, and if he wants to stay, of course.

Remember he didn’t play for 1/2 the season, too. Another important think is Harden seems to like playing with him. There is more to him than a bad play off run. How much is worth a QO.

yup. slightly more than the minimum is what he's worth, and that's what his QO is for. he probably accepts it. i wouldn't offer more as these kind of fringe guys look great for a season or two and then flame out of the nba. he and Gerald should be great regular season wing depth for the minimum.

Oh no I thinking he's well worth double the minimum but I think we will get him for the minimum.

I imagine teams, including us, try to offer him some kind of long term team friendly contract. Something like 4/12-16

Far be it for the Rockets to actually ask their young players to make like the young players on the Warriors and Spurs and, you know, develop. We aren’t the Lakers: we’re not going to sign 9 ring chasers at the vet min. We should demand, nay, expect Daniel House, Gary Clark, and Isaiah Hartenstein to make meaningful contributions off the bench next year.

yup, other than max level guys RFAs usually end up settling for less since most teams don't want to bother making a poison pill type offer and timing up their money for crucial lengths of time during the signing period while the home team waits the maximum days to match.
