Dynamo goal! 1-0 HOU -- Brad Davis 1 (penalty kick) 64 http://houston.mlsnet.com/scoreboard/game.jsp?match=10292006_CHVHOU
It was, I saw it like this though: HOU -- Brian Ching 2 (Dwayne De Rosario 1, Brian Mullan 2) 93+ http://houston.mlsnet.com/scoreboard/game.jsp?match=10292006_CHVHOU
Watched the whole game...2nd time this year I have watched an entire Soccer match that didn't involve team USA. It was an excellent example of both why I eventually might grow to like soccer...and why it will never be as big a deal for me as the Big 3. (Baseball/Football/Basketball). It was very exciting in stretches...the Dynamo had so many scoring chances that it was exciting when they actually converted them. One thing I have never cared for about soccer is how a team with a lead tends to hunker down and just play defense. In this case because of aggregate goals Chivas went into the game with the equvilant of a one goal lead. And they pretty much played the whole game the way a football team would play up 14 with 5 minutes left. Take no chances, no real effort to score. Just playing defense. I think our goalkeeper had like 1 save the whole game.
Found out this morning that I'm going to the Cup if the Dynamo make it!! My sister has season tickets to FC Dallas and had an option to buy tickets. Woohoo!!
they have videos of it on mlsnet.com im pulling for the revs in the eastern conference. that way we can see clint. MLS is up the dirt path on i45 north to dallas. well, frisco, but whatever.
Western Conference Finals game has been set for 5 p.m. next Sunday at Robertson stadium. I believe the Dynamo will still have their playoff family pack (4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 drinks for $60). Not entirely certain on that, though. I'll be making the drive from Austin on Sunday and encourage everyone to goto the game. It's the last chance you have to see the Dynamo this year and the atmosphere will be amazing, I'm sure. If we get enough of the BBS-ers out there, we may be able to throw an impromptu pre-game tailgate.
