When Oliver and these recruits actually suit up for their first college game, they'll be playing for a "P5" school. If I'm thinking of the dates correctly...

Lee's finalists are UH, Illinois, Kansas, SMu, and Texas Tech
Johnson's finalists are UH, Texas Tech and Washington.

I expect both to commit with us tonight.

He has surrounded himself with a young and very, very ambitious and hardworking staff that covers literally ever major high school. He also has spent a lot of time developing relationships with the local high school head coaches and adding people to his staff with strong ties. Couple that with drastically improved facilities and emphasis put on sports and you have kids coming aboard.

UH will have to win, but they are getting major D1 prospects at key positions with very few warts on their resumes. They are solidifying the trench positions that win games.

Will they win? I don't know, but the foundation is coming together.

 

Congrats on the recruiting trail lads! Given our (SMU) situation, I'm jealous of y'all! Hope Coach Morris can replicate this kind of success soon.

 

This is probably the best coaching staff at UH since Jack Pardee's last year in 1989. It might be better because all of these guys are known as great recruiters besides being pretty good coaches. Pardee's guys weren't great recruiters because they were pro coaches for the most part.

 

UH just received a verbal commitment from Rivals 4* safety Collin Wilder from Katy.
