[Houston Chronicle] Texans trade Babin to Seattle for Boulware

Broke his elbow

 

Boulware has tons of upside for us. He's been plagued by injuries but he made an amazing transformation from linebacker to safety and then exceled at the position. Babin was a bust. i realize he had 5 sacks last year but he was far from a force in the pass rush. Like I mentioned before, we just picked up a starting safety for a guy who really did nothing for us. He was a spare part.

We should definitely give Darius a look. If nothing else he's still a huge hitter that will make receivers pay for coming across the middle. We need another big hitter in the secondary. Robinson is all we have and he's a cb who makes his hits mostly in the run game.

Travis Johnson finally stopped being lazy and earned a starting spot. Okoye has one at 19. This is a callout to you Mario Williams. Seriously, if the giuy would just try and put forth some effort. If he gives us 8-10 sacks (I don't care how they come) and QB pressure I will lay off the guy no matter what Young and Bush do.

Good to see Adams get take the starting spot. He will help us on those crossing routes we get beat on consitantly , in the run game and as a pass rusher.

Good trade for the Texans. I did want some of the carryover players from the prior regime to produce to justify getting them. Didnt think there'd be such relief to let another one of those guys find opportunity somewhere else though...

This is about as good an exchange as you can make for Babin.
